Way past the thinning-going-gone stages that souljunkie talks about so reconciling with the fact (and memories) is the best policy. About 3-year-old Abby at home, though (apologies, all, NOT about myself, I know): any suggestions regarding her apparent and hopefully-temporary displeasure with her gorgeous curly locks?

I used to hate my hair because of all the cowlicks and how stubbern it was but about 12 years ago I foung a great person to cut, color, whatever, and now its pretty managable. Amazing when you find the right person to work with what they have instead of trying to change your hair.

I pretend my gray hairs are blonde streaks ;-)

not to sound snobby but my hair is one of the better parts of me. I have even had compliments. Oh I have my bad hair days like everyone. I figure after dissing myself on other parts I should at least name one good thing.

I am thinning quickly now. have been since about 38. (45 now)HATE it. I wish there was a product out there that I believed would actually work. I dont whine about it out loud, but on the inside, getting old is a bummer!

I'm lucky that's for sure. All my old fiends are thinning but I still have a thick, full head of hair. It's no longer black though. Mostly salt and pepper.

I used to wish for some color other than pumpkin orange... but it grew on me.

I don't have a problem with my hair. It's a nice color and it's neither coarse or baby fine, so I can do a lot with it. I can either go straight or curly. Now if only I wouldn't get these gray hairs!

Of course, I hated it when I was a teenager because I felt that I needed exactly what I did not have - long, straight and blond. What I got was a thick, wavy/curly brown/auburn. Once I quit settling for a long pony tail and applied myself to the task of learning how to style it, I found that the waviness gave it body and I could do pretty much whatever I felt like doing with it. Looking back, I think my hair has been my most consistently best physical asset.

I'm a no-frills brunette. Does anyone have a problem with that?

I can't stand my hair. Ever since we moved to the east coast it's been thin, dry, and frizzy.

Blonde hair tends to be cursed. Remember the commercials where hair was bouncin' and behavin? Blonde hair shines and bounces, but it most certainly does not behave, because of its fine texture. I'm firmly convinced blondes only have more fun if they started out as brunettes.
Elf_ears13 11/25/2004
Do blondes really have more fun? Or are they just dumb? I'll never know, always having been a blonde. It's kind of hard to get my hair looking nice, but at least if I wake up at 3 in the morning I can have several hours to work on it. Lol.

The only thing that I don't really have that much to complain about, thankfully--it's long, straight and just kinda there. I don't make a lot of demands on my hair, I usually just end up putting it up in a bun with hairsticks or in a ponytail now, and leave it at that.

Yea-I made the mistake of cutting my hair REALLY short when I was a kid (it was down to my waist). Now, whenever it gets past my shoulders, it's frizzy and I end up chopping it all off again. I'd definitely change that.

I hate my hair. Whereas other girls seem to be able to tame theirs into being perfectly smooth and straight, mine has a mind of its own.
