I have a high amount of intelligence but some people don't appreciate that aspect of my personality.

I would not mind one bit being more intelligent. I made good grades in high school and pretty well in college. I had to work hard for some of those grades. Even now in my 40s I would like to be smarter. understand more complex things. maybe learn certain things more easily.

My intelligence is fine but my judgement occasionally gets lost. Most of the time I do ok in this area though.

It is a gift from God! And I will not complain about any blessing I have received lest He decide to take it away...(I'm thinking Alzheimers here)

What I lack in intelligence is compensated with wisdom and commonsense?...I have no evidence to support that I'm affraid.I have been in situations at formal functions where I have come face to face with the'academics'knowing my I.Q would be no match for these few elect?I seize every opportunity to avoid such confrontations however,if there is no escape I simply throw endless quotations from famous people including the dates,it adds mystery to the capacity of my intellect?..also I use alot of greek words which sound clever I even make up my own e.g PLATO becomes-irrePLATOnisimistic-and at every interval of the conversation I say something in latin likespera in Deo quoniam adhuc confitebor illi salutare vultus meo et Deus meus(excerpt from the roman missal)in unison while pulling an italian face(sag your jaw with bottom lip over the top lip)with a linguistic principal of making your voice sound husky they would at this point start to feel intimidated by you.The latin has nothing to do wi... Needs work that's for sure but I'm always trying to learn more. You're never too old to learn.

I think my knowledge is pretty good, I'm chiefly concerned with improving my writing and performing skill. I'm confident the former is increasing. I only need to look at things I wrote a year ago as an example and think Golly, I sounded like a real inarticulate imbecile then!. With a little luck I'll be able to look back on this comment in a year's time and think I say, those musings betray a mastery of the keyboard tantamount to that of a slack jawed troglodyte!. Here's hoping! UPDATE: Looking back on this post I've realized I used a word incorrectly. Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy!

I think I'm intelligent enough about things I'm really interested in, but I am a complete dunce in many areas. I try to broaden my horizons from time to time, but some areas of knowledge just don't come easily, naturally (or willingly). I am always fascinated when I run across people who are experts on a given subject (although I often wonder how much of an expert they are, because although I am impressed with their ability to expound on a subject, I don't know enough about it myself to make a judgement as to its logic or accuracy).

I think I'm almost totally right brained - inclined to be a somewhat artsy, somewhat drifty dreamer, and definitely a visual learner. Sometimes I wish I had more math aptitude - but I know I would still find numbers a bone numbing bore. However, it might put me in a better position to finance more of my aesthetic interests.

Sometimes I do feel that I'm not intelligent enough. Some things like math never came across as easy for me. I got by, but it didn't come down well. Maybe it was just the way it was taught, but I never found it compelling. My philosophy on life is that you have to make best of what you've been given. The pathway to perdition is believing that you know it all. That leads to complacency and stagnation in beliefs. No one can claim to know it all, but rigorous study of such diverse subjects like history, physics, philsophy and hey, even popular culture and sports gives you plenty of insight about the human experience. The nice part about it is that when you begin an inquiry about one subject, it leads to another one and the process continues. That's how learning occurs, question assumptions and study across many disciplines. I'll never claim I know it all, that's an boring, uninteresting life without purpose. You should always make an effort to see beyond the horizon--learn about the thing... Read more

I'd say I'm pretty smart but we'd all like to be a little smarter right?

(4 = big complaint) I never felt smart enough, and I always feel like there is so much more to learn. So, if I could improve something, this would be very, very high on my list. I do the best with what I've got, attempt to learn and keep an open mind, but I'm always wishing for more intelligence.

No complaints about my intelligence per se but I do wish I were more glib and well-spoken. I find myself struggling to say what I mean at times.

I wouldn't mind being Good Will Hunting smart but smart enough to bicker with everyone on RIA is good enough :-)

I'm still learning new things, at least once a week, but I believe that I am fairly well blessed by God in respect to intelligence.

I consider myself a fairly intelligent individual, but I also know that there's a lot of room for improvement, for everyone.

I consider myself intelligent, but verbally not mathematically. I can write essays with one hand tied behind my back, but give me a 9th grade Algebra worksheet, and we've got problems.
