Known simply for his emergence out of the water wearing revealing britches in a costume drama made for TV. Not much to his character and appears too lukewarm for a Bond. I suggest Clive Owen might be a suitable choice as he balances raw 'cruelty' with an intelligent, considerate side which is what Bond was intended to be.
