I am a Christian and admire Jimmy Carter quite a bit. I don't agree with some of what he wrote in his new book, but that is ok. I have a passion for politics and am a conservative and I have always thought that Jimmy Carter has stayed with the Democrats to help minorities, the working class, and the poor. I don't see him in the same league with the ultra-liberals like Ted Kennedy, Hillary Clinton, or Howard Dean. Jimmy Carter is a decent, Christian man who has kept his integrity intact, unlike most politicians, including so-called moral convservatives like Tom DeLay. None of the remaining President or probably any after for the 20 years has a chance of winning a Nobel Peace Prize like President Carter did. I love Habitat for Humanity and have done some work with them. Way to go Mr. and Mrs. Carter.

Jimmy Carter is a great man. I disagreed with many of his policies when he was in office, but in retrospect, I rtealized that he always followed his conscience. That's why he was not a good president, because the average political weasel will bury you if you don't play his game. Jimmy Carter marches to his own tune. We will never see another president like him because a man of integrity will never be able to fight his way through the obstacles placed in front of him by partisan politicians. The only president in my time to leave office with his soul intact.

Great Governor, Average president.

He held his own his own as governor. He is a finger in every pie type of guy, and that works for most governors. When you get to be President, you must delegate. Jimmy thought he was still Governor of Georgia, and, oh, well, you know the rest!

Jimmah shoulda stuck to state politics or been a higher-up at the UN. Undercut Clinton every time he turned around on North Korea and Haiti.
