11/29/2004 | It's been many years ago now, but I took out my very first health insurance policy with Mutual of Omaha when I first left home to live alone in another state. After suffering a dislocated shoulder (trying to play football, of all things), I filed a claim. I wasn't satisfied with the help they gave me, so I switched to another company. The agent came over to my house a few days later and tried to start an argument and bawled me out, then tried to talk me into changing back. I couldn't believe he thought I would come back to Mutual of Omaha right after he had sat in my living room insulting me. He gave me a lifelong negative impression of the company.
