 | Solenoid DH (20) 12/10/2004 | The very term Hate Crime is a dangerous fad, and I wish it would pass on. As far as I'm concerned, ALL crimes are hateful. We don't need thought police telling us that one offense is worse than another because of some component relating to creed or ethnicity.

 | CastleBee (88) 12/01/2004 | I agree with SolenoidDH; this politically correct catch phrase implies that committing a crime against a member of one group or another is more or less terrible than doing so to another. This short-sited attitude is as dangerous as isolation and lack of education and only serves to further fragment the population. If true justice is what we seek we must first see everyone as fundamentally as important as everyone else. There is no room for value judgments based on emotion, history or real and/or imagined hardships. Valuing and respecting ALL people is the only true way to fight hatred.
