 | GenghisTheHun (173) 04/11/2008 | That can't be much of a crime! Justification is usually a defense.

 | X Factor Z (13) 05/02/2005 | Not a hate crime, but just common sense
to target anybody who listens to Trashlee, Jessicka or that hillbilly bimbo Spears.

 | texasyankee (21) 04/20/2005 | Well once my daughter had the album Hanson and one day while she was in school I snuck into her room, put it in the fireplace and lit it on fire; would that be classified a hate crime?

 | minkey (36) 11/29/2004 | This is a misleading list and list item. You list different groups but not the crimes. If you wanted to make a list about types of hate crimes, here is a model that would be appropriate: burning crosses in the front yard, lynching, murder, forcible rape, aggravated assault, simple assault, intimidation, arson, and destruction, damage or vandalism of property. You could instruct people to rate the severity of the hate crime. Secondly, I have never heard of hate crimes against people who listen to teen pop.

 | bibliophile (10) 11/29/2004 | This would be a hard one to prove, but one backed by a noble motive. Before I get hate mail, let me say, NO, I didn't really mean that.

 | abichara (62) 11/29/2004 | This is a very broad definition of hate crime. So someone beats you up because you like Britney, Christina, Ashlee, and the rest of them? Now that's getting arbitrary!

 | Jed1000 (73) 11/29/2004 | First.. the term hate crime has a legal definition, and many of the items on this list do not come close to fitting that definition. Secondly, what criteria is one supposed to use to rate these items? Are we to accept the premise that hating a person of one race is a greater offense that hating a person of some other race? Ridiculous.

 | CastleBee (83) 11/29/2004 | I don't know what you consider a hate crime, but I have serious doubts that most people give a hang what kind of music you listen to Mike. If they do, the worst thing most people are going to do is make some kind of snide remark. I don't think that qualifies as a crime. Maybe you should try and be less sensitive about what people think of you and your tastes. Either that, or get some ear buds bud.

 | mikeholly93 (10) 11/27/2004 | As a 31 year old man who listens to Britney Spears, Ashlee Simpson, Lindsay lohan, and other teen pop stars, i am a perfect target for a hate crime by white redneck adults who despise that music and anyone who listens to it.
