06/17/2008 | I was with this bank for about 8 months, the first 5 months was great with this bank, friendly and polite at ever wamu bank i went to (5 different banks, i worked and lived 30 miles apart so when i got off work on friday if one bank was crowded i'd goto another) but then all the problems started. They started taking 5-7 business days to process my payroll check! My F'ing PAYROLL CHECK! and it was taking 3-5 business days to process my cash deposits! CASH! WTF? After i deposited my check a day or two later i would have to buy gas, which i think we all know how expnsive that can get, and if there wasn;t enough funds, they would overdraft, even after i deposited my check into my account! These people are rude, and have a lack of technology. Bank of America sucks too!

12/02/2007 | We have had multiple personal and business accounts with WAMU over the past few years and have been very happy with our service. We made a point to get to know the staff, and they have made things very smooth and easy for us. We have to move to another state and are very sad that WAMU isn't there yet.

05/17/2006 | Three reviews with Five Stars? Tools of the banking industry, all. Who likes WAMU? No one I know likes WAMU one bit. The only thing of value is the supreme irony of their ads, where they say they are people-pleasing and all that nonsense. Never had a personal account there, but I can't recommend having a biz account there - unless your biz is always well into the black. 10-day holds on checks over $5000! How're you supposed to make payroll? It takes no less than 30 minutes to even get to talk to someone who has the power to take a hold off of your d*mn check. If the city that the bank is in writes a $16,000 check, why does it take 10 days to clear? What, so they can earn interest on it? Oh, no! Banks are benevolent. They want to help us....
