I don't own the Brentford Trilogy, but I own the three albums that are a part of this set. It's three of Nick's 'comeback' records. Starting w/the earliest, it has 'The Impossible Bird,' 'Dig My Mood,' and 'The Convincer.' 1) These are all really good albums, and I highly recommend 'The Impossible Bird' as a good intro album to Nick's work. 'The Impossible Bird' is one of my favorite albums of all-time, it's country, soul, and just plain good. 'I Live on a Battlefield' and 'Drive Thru Man' are excellent tracks but really there isn't a bad track on 'The Impossible Bird.' 2) 'Dig My Mood' is another great album and has more of a dark crooner feel to it. Again, not a bad track on it. I would recommend 'Lonesome Reverie' 'Failed Christian' 'Man That I've Become.' 3) 'The Convincer' has a few duds on it but it's still worth checking out. Notably, 'Lately, I've Let Things Slide' stands out.All in all, this is a really good buy for Nick Lowe fans. For those just getting into Nick Lowe, I would recommend 'The Impossible Bird' and then backtrack through earlier Nick Lowe/Nick Lowe and his Cowboy Outfit releases. 'The Impossible Bird' has long been out of print, so it's a good way to get this along w/two other solid albums.
