 | Bird808 (55) 05/22/2006 | Adults I find are more guilty of not abiding by the third one. For some its too easy to pass the buck than take the blame. Saying that people who don't take responsibility for their actions are seriously lacking the other two.

 | madamedragonlily (5) 05/21/2006 | You can't go wrong with this advice. No matter what occurs as long as you follow it you will be able to hold your head up with pride. Respect is powerful but we are seeing far less of it in the world today. Respect is able to draw a line that few want to cross especially alone and responsibility creates trust because of the strength sometimes it takes to admit to something but in the end you stand strong instead of hiding from your weakness.

 | kattwoman (25) 11/09/2005 | you can't go wrong with this one. respect and responsibility leave nothing for you to be ashamed of. if you treat others with respect then if they fail to do the same it lies at their door. if you take responsibility for all your actions then when making a decision you would put a little more thought into what you are doing.

 | AndrewScott (73) 02/15/2005 | Amen! Can't think of a better way to sum up the foundation of good character. Those who continually cause the world around them much grief are most always backward on at least one of these traits.

 | ClassicTVFan47 (38) 11/30/2004 | How very, very true. Some people recently don't like to take responsibility for their actions, coming up with the three L's to combat them (Lies, Living Life, and Lawyers). And, if you don't have respect for yourself, then how can you respect others?
