 | Djahuti (54) 05/23/2006 | You can and should do this more than once a year.It doesn't have to involve travel if your funds are low.Just try a new Restaraunt,Bar or event that you haven't gone to yet.I've taken many a "vacation" just staying at campgrounds in my tent. You'd be suprised at how much fun you can have on very little cash. You'll meet all kinds of people from all over the world if you're open to adventure! If you can afford it-go to different States & Climates-or other Countries, where you can expand your views and see other cultures in the flesh.

 | Bird808 (52) 05/22/2006 | Good one. This doesn't necessarily mean hopping on a plane and visiting some exotic country that speak a different language to yourself, heck I live in London and theres certianly some parts of the capital I still haven't seen. Even parts of the UK as a whole I haven't seen and it will cost very little. Now the US is bigger than England so whats your excuse?

 | Vudija (92) 05/21/2006 | It's great in theory, but some of us really don't have the means to do such a thing. Would I LIKE to see new things-certainly, but then you fall into details that fight against your ability to do so. I guess if I drove (I don't), had a car, a job etc...then money and transportation would be no problem.
Within my current city; I'll be sure to try and take this advice. I'm sure there is SOMETHING interesting in this town for me to see...

 | Silver Eagle 252 (8) 05/21/2006 | Great advice. There are so many places to see and you know you will not be able to see everything so visit as many places as possible, meet new people and live new experiences. Bringing this addage up to date, "Everyday, visit a website you haven't visited before."

 | kattwoman (24) 11/09/2005 | this is a great idea. i try to do this a few times a year. everything to me is a learning experience in one way or another. it could be a visit to a new museum, picking apples in an orchard or singing christmas carols at a nursing home. you could only grow a little.

 | kamylienne (77) 10/02/2005 | Each and every day, you're somewhere that you've never been before: you're in the present. Every day offers an opportunity to learn something or do something new. It's up to you to do with it what you will.
