The concept behind the Breeder's cup is great. Horse racing needed a championship and got it. In one day eclipse awards can be desided and champion caliber horses of different ages come together to be the best of the best from all over the world. You have all the top jockeys, trainers, and horses in one place and each race is signifigant.

Highly variable in quality, both from year to year and race to race in the year. There are always at least two standout performances among the days races however, and its always worth watching.
