I was looking up some information on leadership and leaders when I came across this website. I couldn’t pass it up without making some kind of comment. I was just reading over some of your reviews and you all are pretty pathetic. There are some people that are consumed with money, probably because they don’t have any. Others of you can’t figure out in the word of God for yourself if you should love your spouse. So, you need someone else to tell you that? Those people didn’t need to get devoice from their spouses, their spouses needed to devoice them for being so slow. Some people ask questions so when they HALF do what the person encouraged them to do they can have someone else to blame. If you ask someone for advice the minute you decide to act on that advice you own it! You CHOOSE to act on it then YOU own it! Get over yourselves and grow up. If you truly want to know God, go to church, READ your bible, sit at GOD’S feet and stop making someone else your idol. Pastor Robb is a teacher not GOD. Don’t blame him or anyone else because you can’t follow the instructions from the bible that you once supposedly thought you believed in. Pastor Robb was not placed on this earth to live out anyone else’s life for them and he certainly wasn't called to be anyone’s whipping post. Some of you talk about the things that he’s done in his past, like he hasn’t already told most people where he’s come from. What if someone was to open up your portfolio and saw what kind of pictures you’ve take over the years? How would it make you feel to have a blog about your life online??? I can say this; I haven’t always liked everything that pastor Robb has had to say over the years but he has NEVER lied to me. And if what he had to say came from the bible it wasn’t pastor Robb I was upset with, it was God….and when you truly realize that it will make you fall to your knees. You people really need to repent because you are offended and if you didn’t know it now you do.

All the while Thompson NEVER gives anyone a financial statement how the offering money is spent.

People lacking knowledge following Thompson, think you can't say anything or expose evil men if they call themself a Pastor. The Bible states that a person who calls himself a minister or teacher is held to an even higher standard.
The Apostle Paul(yet who before he received Christ was executing Christians, and not an original disciple of Jesus) rebuked Peter publically (yet Peter was one of Jesus most prized disiple). The Bible clearly states to "expose the works of darkness". Eph 5:11

It is a greater evil not to warn someone about the pit they are going to fall into, following a blind guide like Thompson.
Many follow Thompson instead of Gods Holy Spirit and the Bible. They are still immature baby Christians, who have no Holy Spirit teaching, discernment, and have never been in a true scriptural church, or known what a real pastor is according to the scriptures.

Thompson made a shambles out of many marriages, families including his own house, family and nephew in law. He has never been a parent and has no understaning help for those who are. He cannot be trusted to be over a church.Most who attend do not know how to hear from the Holy Spirit, or know what a true shepherd does for the sheep, or how to disccern good from evil.
Too many of them are crippled spiritually, lazy,  unable to understand the scriptures,  and depending upon Thompson to tell them what to do, or itching ears looking for quick money themselves, so they give to Thompson thinking they will get a return.

You are just as responsible to be a good steward manager of the money and where you give it as the person is who you give it to.

A great example of Bad stewardship is spending Gods offering money on status worldly junk instead of reaching the lost souls with that same money. Thompson is clealy a bad steward, without a heart for the lost in Chicagoland. He spends more on his ties and $1,000 + shoes than he has spent reaching the lost in 20 yrs. That's why the church is only half the seats for 20 years.

Galatians 3:13 tells us Jesus redeemed us from THE CURSE, becoming the curse for us (taking all the curses punishment on HIM). Thompson uses coercion, FEAR, pressure, and compulsion taking up offering. Thompson uses fear as a tactic always referencing OLD COVENANT Malichi (which by the way is not part of the law, but just for those he being referenced in Malichi. We can't get anything by works, especially old testament works. Thompson uses fear not faith to coerce money out of people and make them feel guilty, and in fear. God tells us to be led of love from our heart.
New Testament giving is being led by Gods spirit, to be good stewards to good stewardship good ground not blind oblication compulsion tithing. God owns 100% of all we have. We are to be led by the Holy Spirit of God in all we do. Romans 8:14 The Holy Spirit wrote the Bible.

We have even Thompson using fear to motivate, say people are going to hell if they don't tithe. People are not even saved who don't tithe. (Why would anyone be so foolish enough to give him a penny? with the way he uses money.

No wise person would even give money to a stock or business without first a full accounting analysis. Yet these same people week after week give their hard earned money to Thompson without EVER getting any accounting for it. Anyone that goes to Family Harvest can see for themselves Thompsons outrageous use and extravagant spending on the worlds things.
These people work hard for it and think they are giving to God for Gods purpose of reaching souls, and Thompson turns around and buys $150,000 cars and $30,00 watches, $5,000 suits and more with it, and gives it right back to the world and the devil. How beyond foolish is that?

Thompson has every trait of a cult leader. Like other cult leaders he is secretive about the money that the church brings in. He has no accountability to anyone. He lives on the churches millions in his 3 million dollar mansion, and all his extravagance wasting the churches money.

Thompson and his cult followers have huge sorrow. Why? Because they did not give Gods way as good stewards, managers, led by the Holy Spirit, or give to good ground. Bad stewardship is BAD GROUND and cannot yield a harvest. Divorces, no children, children rebellling, drugs, alcohol, sickness, gossip, backbiting, judgmental people all of these are rampant in that place. No souls won or growth in 20 years! Robb Thompson is an excellent Bible Scholar! If you actually read the Bible for a change, that would be apparent to you. The truth is, Pastor Robb is a man of God. Your online name says
you amazingly believe you are going to Heaven, but God's Commandment warns: "Thou shalt
not bear false witness against thy neighbor." That's lies and slander! Trashing God's servant
certainly won't earn you a place in Heaven!

I read all these websites created by people like yourself who claim they're actually "Ministries".

When I emailed him for more clarity on what he had preached he sent me a response that basically amounted to him telling me don't waste my time, who are you to question me.

One of Robb's homes, a townhouse at 9322 Sutter Drive in Tinley Park that he bought for his mother awhile back, was auctioned by the government because of unpaid property taxes. It was in one of the local Chicago papers. He's apparently too busy galavating to exotic ports of call (HK, Singapore, etc) to pay his taxes. This is no surprise, as he is by his own admission a tax cheat, having defrauded the IRS of money in the past. So just add the government to the long list of people Robb screws.

There is much to be said for people who get past just the pulpit preaching and actually get behind the closed doors and see what REALLY goes on, most don't get that chance and the ones who keep quiet are the ones who stay there for thier bread and butter. I listen To Robb Thompson regularly. I like him. I think he understands human nature and is led by God. Yes, he does have wear expensive clothing but so do many people. As far as being in a mental institution, he talks about it and that is what makes me draw closer to him because he knows what it is like.. All I can say about the boob job is buy me a ticket and I'm there.. I would like a double dose of what is being handed out, if that is the case.

I have lost a good friend to his cult. She has to hide Harry Potter books from visitors and drive an hour out of town to see certain movies. They want to pay her to get a boob job and go to a tanning bed so she represents the church better. He tells her that if her faith is strong enough she will have boys for children, which of course means that if she does have a girl her faith is weak, it has nothing to do with genetics. He's my head pastor and is not only a great speaker, but a great teacher as well!!! He lives by what he preaches, and what he preaches is the absolute truth!

Your pastor is very prosperous man. Good! Is it not annoying when poorest of the house teach us how to live well? Have a funny picture: a famous speaker few long hours talks about his great possessions and at the end begs us for money. Who is rich here? That one who asks, or they who give? How we can trust doctors who are sick themseleves? They write prescriptions for our pains, but dont know which medicine to take for theirs. " Oh! I have a degree! I have a degree!" Show us God's signature on your diploma. Otherwise, It's worth nothing in a spiritual arena. We need real leaders who were sick and healed themeselves, who were on the bottom and went all the way to the top.
FHC is not not one of the world's borring clubs of dead people, who think that the Bible is only another fairy tale. From the Earthly man's view it is very unnatural and strange to exalt God about anybody else even above a family. Standing on the crossroad where one way leads to life and another to death feels different then choosing which party to go on this weekend. Let's remember that Jesus promised us baptism with the Holy Spirit as well as with the fire. By the way, we are longing for the real Chirstianity which is hot, we are searching for real Chirstians, who wash their feet from the world's dirt and repentance is not an unusual event of their lives. So many in the faith unfortunately are still in the stone age when it comes to business. We don't know how to excel, make intelligent business decsions and move toward advancement. We are put off by exellance and are afraid of material rewards. As if God, will send us straight to hell if we aren't living in a shack, living beneath our potential and trying to make ends meet. My parents suffered without money, and early on in my life I did too, poverty is not a gift from God it doesn't make you holier or more spiritual. It just makes you poor. Learning honest ways to advance financially have made my life better. I can tithe, help my family, help others in a bind and I'm not stressed about how I'm going to make it through the week. If I live in surplus and honor God with that surplus and help people with that surplus, I think it is a good thing. I don't love money, but I use it to help advance the work of the kingdom, help my self - yes and treat myself, help my family and friends, and when I can, I make a positive difference. Jesus Christ was not poor, poor people don't need a treasurer. Any one who has really experience lack and scareness knows that it's ugly and you are more at the mercy of the wicked because of the bondage and the multiple limitations of poverty. It is humiliating, you have to depend on people to constantly help you. No one in poverty wants to stay there. Christians need to be more financially accountable in this world and take on the challenges of being at the top. David didn't stay a shepard boy, Joseph didn't stay a prisoner, Esther didn't stay in the background as an ordinary Jewish girl. Peter had to be more than a fisherman. Thompson gives us his "know how" from the business world, if nothing else we need to be intelligent enough to take what he's good at and apply it to our lives to make life better, and just reject what we feel is not true. He knows what he's saying about business -- at least learn that. I'm sick of all this mud slinging about false teachers, you don't have to follow him or anyone else for that matter (the following part belongs to Christ), but learn something. Did you like all your teachers in high school, probably not, but if you were a good student, you took what they taught you and got the grade. Some of the things those teachers taught you inspite of "how they lived" have shaped your life for the better long term. Friends and foes can give us knowledge. I'm not calling Thompson good or bad, I'm just saying, this is a man that business leaders around the world listen to so why shouldn't we and apply those principles toward advancement. Sidenote, adults are responsible for adult decisions, your money and your marriage are your responsiblity not any tv evangelist, come on folks let's not dump our brains in the toilent when it comes to spiritual matters. We are accountable as individuals rightly dividing the word of God. Let's stop pointing fingers and look right in the mirror. If anybody tells us preacher, tv evangelist, or cartoon character something contrary to the word of God, then we shouldn't just blindly follow what's said, because, we are responsible for rightly dividing the word of God. Let's just practice some wisdom, learn what is good and reject what is bad. No bady throwing out with the bath water - ok.

I attended Pastors Robbs church for 16 plus years and am extremely thankful for his teachings, as I don't even recognize my life today. Yes, he did teach me to honor God's word and tithe, and I tithed my way right off of public aid to now making well over 100,000 dollars a year including benefits. This doesn't include the many, many blessings that have over taken my life, including my 300k plus new built home, the peace, faith and hope that charges my future. He is genuine and the problem maybe that you can't recognize genuine. I once witness him pay 30k plus to a builder it was not due because he was more concerned with his soul and he trusted God to meet his financial needs. I won't be labor this but the responsibility to do the Word and reap the benefits of it falls on the individual. Pastor Robb can teach you but if you have a critical eye, a jealous heart and choose to tear him down for living the life he's been blessed with, you will never see the benefits of God in your own life. They killed Jesus for the same foolish nonsense that you speak and he too was completely innocent. Pastor Robb is committed to helping people, to changing lives for the better, what are you committed to? Would you be happier if his life was the same as the day he met the Lord? What mental patient do you know that can completely change their own life to that degree? Let me help you (none). These accusations are totally ridiculous. If you don't know him, don't judge him by the nay sayers. Most people destroy their own lives and don't need help. Pastor Robbs goal is to teach others to win in every area of their lives. I'm very thankful he has laid down his life so that I've had that opportunity to know God and have a completely changed life full of peace and blessing, as has many others like myself.

Doing drugs?  This is not a question- it's a FACT!  The insiders suspect it--some even KNOW about it.  Someday he'll be in the news!  Just look at the facial pock marks, listen to his mixed thoughts, and watch his wife's erradic giddiness.  What's up with that?  He gives money to people to "bail them out" to get control over them -- he's then the hero.  Just ask him- he'll tell you all about it.  He'll even help you too.

Mature Christians do not defend false teachers and heretics. They are to mark and avoid false teachers (Rom. 16:17). They are to reject heretics (Titus 1: 13), those who lay error alongside truth by secretly introducing destructive heresies (2 Pet. 2:1). I was part of this organization for almost ten years. I WAS in the "inner circle" as they call it and I can testify that this man and his team are definitely phonies and scam artists.

When I wanted to leave this church with my family, they personally counseled my wife to leave me. I know at least 25 other couples where this exact thing happened to them. Unfortunately, many are now divorced. How can you preach "the Gospel" one day and counsel a wife to leave her husband the next day simply because he wants to worship elsewhere? Makes no sense to me, and as far as I'm concerned, if Robb Thompson ever gets to heaven at all, he will have Hell to pay for the marriages and the families he destroyed while here on earth. Personally, I believe this man is a lost soul. The Bible warns us of False Prophets and False Teachers, and Robb Thompson fits the bill perfectly.

Robb Thompson never did earn a doctorate degree. Sure, he calls himself "Dr Robb Thompson", but that also is an outright lie. He purchased his "degree" from a mickey mouse unaccredited organization where they apply years in business, or years in the pulpit to credit hours earned. Fact is HE NEVER EVEN WENT TO COLLEGE. NEVER WENT TO SEMINARY. NEVER EARNED EVEN A THEOLOGICAL DEGREE!

Now he lives in a 3 million dollar mansion paid for by scamming his own congregation and those gullible TV supporters. He has owned well over 2 million dollars in fancy cars since I've known him, and has been caught in extramarital affairs on at least two occasions.

Dr. Thompson is a great man. I became a christian 7 years ago and he was the first man who treated me like a son. The things some of you are saying is very disrespectful. You are talking about someone's father, husband,and Pastor. The words that you are speaking about the man of God will cause a curse to come on you and your family. It is one thing to think those thoughts, but to say them so others can read them is disasterous on the name of Christ. Unbelievers read these things all the time and the man who lives on your block will not be saved because he is thinking that YOUR pastor is the same as the words you have spoken about Dr.Thompson.

I think Pastor Robb is very talented and smart. I will never say anything bad about a man of God. But some of the doctrine I question. Especially when someone says I have to speak in tongues to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Tongues is not going to get me to Heaven. Also when you become saved you are filled with the Holy Spirit right then and there. Too much Christianity is "going through the motions and focusing too much on emotions" these days.

Dr. Thompson is absolutely in love with God. I have never seen a man with such a fear of God and a better knowledge of His Word. Not only is he knowledgable but he applies what he knows to His own life to further the Father's kingdom. I have a great amount of respect for him and how is he willing so set his own agenda's aside and lay down his life for people to please God...Thank You Dr. Thompson..

Robb Thompson earned his Doctorate at Life Christian Center if you google it you'll find his picture.

When did Robb obtain a doctorate? I was a member of Midwest Christian Ctr when there were about a 100 members meeting in a storage building in Crestwood, IL; left, then came back at 400; then, left permanently in 95 when it was about 2,000 at the current location. I don't recall him obtaining formal education beyond High School. Notwithstanding the lack of formal training, the guy is a gifted orator...if not a dedicated esoteric in the new-age traditions that he and other notable "faith-word" bible teachers follow. To whom much is given...much is required. So a dose of moderation on the condemnations just might be in order. All motives will be tested by G_ds purifying fire...how much more so for the various teachers of righteousness. Whether its a church meeting or purchasing a new car...its buyer beware and we must never forget this. Scripture makes it painfully clear that we are to be on the lookout for false teachers. Although I became somewhat uncomfortable with his vision of the gospel long ago I can't suggest that about Thompson. Then again, I could say the same about 90% of the preachers if I looked hard and long enough. Our creator provided us with intellect...read, meditate, pray. Above all...think for yourself.

The rest of you are making comments without knowing them first hand. I've been going to Family Harvest for over five years. If it was a "Cult" or if there was "brainwashing" I think I'd know. There are two messages being taught in the church today. One is man's interpretation and the other is God's revelation. One is the narrow path that leads to life and the other is the broad path that leads to death. The worldly message that Robb Thompson teaches is man's interpretation. The focus is on obtaining worldly things. The result is greed, self-indulgence and every kind of evil. I attended this man's church for two years. I was a new Christian when I started, but I studied the Word of God every day and eventually saw that the message he taught was not scripturally sound. The focus of those who follow after Jesus should not be on the things this world offers ... 1 John 2:15-17 Stop loving this evil world and all that it offers you, for when you love the world, you show that you do not have the love of the Father in you. For the world offers only the lust for physical pleasure, the lust for everything we see, and pride in our possessions. These are not from the Father. They are from this evil world. And this world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you will live forever. Jesus told us that we must "pick up our cross" and follow Him ... Matthew 16:24-26 Then Jesus said to the disciples, "If any of you wants to be my follower, you must put aside your selfish ambition, shoulder your cross, and follow me. If you try to keep your life for yourself, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for me, you will find true life. And how do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul in the process? Is anything worth more than your soul? Beware. The Bible warns us to watch out for false teachers in the end days. That means it's up to you to recognize the wolves. The Bible also explains the poularity of teachers like Robb Thompson ... 2 Timothy 4:3-4 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to right teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever they want to hear. They will reject the truth and follow strange myths.

Sally101. Everything you have said is right on. If you continue to listen to Robb and continue to have good discernment, you will come to some of the same conclusions many have posted here. You mentioned, you do not look at name brands when hearing God's word preached. I don't either, but you will hear the brands he wears from the "pulpit" while he is "teaching." I have been to the church several times and have listened to his sermons in there entirety. I didn't attend the church once or just twice. I went for a month or more. I loved the musical worship, but found myself having a real struggle with Robb's sermons and the use of scripture when dealing with wealth. Actually, every sermon somehow relates to wealth. Robb is a very gifted speaker without a doubt, but being a gifted speaker does not translate into accurate interpreter of the Bible. God's Word. Really listen to his use of the Word of God and then go back to the Bible to the references he gives and you should easily be able to see if the entirety of Scripture matches up with his use of it. Acts 20:28 - 31 (NIV) 28 Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood. 29 I know that after I leave, savage wolves will come in among you and will not spare the flock. 30 Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. 31 So be on your guard! Remember that for three years I never stopped warning each of you night and day with tears.

Today is the first day I have listened to Robb Thompson. I did not see anything wrong with his teaching. I will watch him again. In reading these comments I would like to say,I am not a preacher nor a teacher but I do know that no matter what type of clothes you wear or what kind of car you drive, whether you own airplanes or mansions, or own nothing, when God calls you to do a work for Him, whether you are rich or poor, take heed. We are His children. He loves all of us, rich or poor. Are we looking for an impression or are we listening to the teachings of God? I do not look at name brands when I am hearing God's Word preached to me. Clothes, jewelry, material goods are not to be confused with worship. Just because someone may be a little wealthier than others does not mean God won't bless them. He gives us all blessings. All we have to do is walk in His footsteps, obey His commands. No, none of us are perfect. Tell God you love Him everyday and thank Him. Pray without ceasing.

He has ruined the marriages of many people I know personally and the majority of UNBELIEVABLE things that are posted on this website about Robb D. Thompson are true. I cannot believe some of the senceless junk I am reading on this message board. Robb Thompson uses more scripture when speaking and teaching the Word of God than most people preaching in pulpits today. Robb and Linda Thompson are very wealthy people, that is true. Do any of you KNOW where he gets his money from personally? I don't think so. Do a little research on who his legally adopted parents are before you spread LIES about his "taking" tithes from his congregation. My family knows Robb and Linda Thompson personally and the junk on here is so sad to read. To say he condones divorce, MADE people get divorced and marry is such a total lie. There is a couple in the church who are now married after being divorced, but Robb Thompson DID NOT tell or councel them to "get divorced from who you are now married to and marry each other". You all have no idea what you are saying. Are Pastors Robb and Linda PERFECT? Is any one here slamming them perfect? I think not. Pastor tells you his flaws almost every service. Not many of you would EVER do that. He shares it so you can see how much healing God had done in his life. His messages are FULL OF PRACTICAL teaching. He preaches a very difficult message, but doing things excellent and "right" is never the right way. Jesus loves you, this is true, but obedience to the Word of God is the key to heaven's door, not God's love alone. He loves the sinner who doesn't repent. He loves those who scorned Him, but only one of the thieves were going to be with Him that day in paradise. Pastor preaches a hard message, and for that I love him and respect him.
