Check out only works occasionally. If you use a gift card or promotional code the amount or discount will disappear even when the order doesn't go through.
Contacting customer service through the website is a waste of time. They do not respond - takes at least a week, if ever. You will find it would have been easier to go into one of their stores than use the website.
Get an order through with points or gift card and you will get an email telling you the 'publishers' have notified Waterstone's that the book is temporarily out of stock. The same book can be ordered with a credit card no problem - that is just a complete lie. But it may eventually arrive if you choose to wait.
No clue of how to properly run a site on the internet. Way behind the times.
