he is king now...he finally beat a american in america....i thought he lost but now lets see want he can do wit roy jones he has quick hands like jones does also.i think he may be to elusive for jones but u can never count out jones....calzaghe punches like a bitch but he can box your pants off...id love to see jones knock his ass out...that would be a fight i would love to see....boxer facing boxer it may be boring but boring is fun to watch....who knows maybe it turns out to be fireworks.two guys coming to win....if the fight in america i like jones if its in england i like calzaghe.if jones takes the fight to calzaghe he will win...

People can say what thay want about Calzaghe and the WBO but he has beaten everyone in his way and occaisionally with one hand! The guy can box and whether he fights in europe or not is irrelevant, his skills are still top dollar.

I think Joe Calzaghe is the best boxer in the world at the moment

joe is a wicked fighter, he just completely embarrassed Lacy and he should have stayed in America, cant wait for his next fight his a top fighter

Actually, I think he's better than a 1;but not by much.168 has been my least favorite weight class for ages, thanks to Calzaghe-and his other retired Europeon counterpart Sven Ottke, both of whom have/had pieces of the title for ages. I don't blame either of them for capitalizing on a good thing and not taking any serious risks;but this is ridiculous. Not only did champs Calzaghe and Ottke never fight outside of Europe, they never fought each other for the Europeon championship either. I saw a few highlights of Ottke and one of Calzaghes fights. He was dropped by an American in his homering of Wales, got up and landed a good shot-and the fight was stopped in his favor. Figures.

all these title defenses of his crappy WBO belt dont mean anything for two reasons: the WBO is a joke and he hasnt fought any1 noteworthy. on the plus side: hes got decent power, hes iron-tough, and solid skills. until he fights some1 whos a real contender, no1 will ever hold JoeCal in high regard.

his last fight was amazing the to of them being knocked down in the same round and then he pulls of a victory what a fight

Probably won't get much further than this, partly because Frank Warren doesn't want to risk his undefeated record, partly because he's probably not as good as he seems against his undeserving opposition. His last opponent was Tocker Pudwill, whose last opponent before facing Calzaghe had a record of 23-113. Nard kills Calzaghe if that fight is ever made.

CALZAGHE SUCKS BIG BALLS....HE CANT FIGHT

Calzaghe is dominating a weak division...hasn't fought good enough competition to determine how good he actually is. Holds a marginal title belt that allows him to avoid serious competition.

Undefeated so far. Destroyed everyone in his path

I give a lot of respect to Calzaghe. Here is one white boy that's fast and can hit pretty decent with a rock solid chin, like he showed in his fight with Charles Brewer. Too bad he fights out of Wales in a lack luster division like Super MiddleWeight. Hopefully he can get a shot at Hopkins, I think it would be one hell of a match that he might be able to win.
