I really like the Sensor Excel because it is easier to use and it does give me a close shave. Plus it's alot cheaper than the Mach 3 and I feel it does just as well, if not better.

Gillette Sensor Excel is a great razor. I've used Mach 3 and Mach 3 Turbo, both excellent razors, but Sensor Excel seems easier to shave with on the upper lip directly under the nose area since the cartridge is not as big.

A truly great razor. Handles well and leaves a perfect close shave, especially when sharp. Better than those three bladed razors which don't rinse as easily.

I suppose getting the right razor depends on your face and neck's sensitivity and tendency for razor bumps, cuts, and redness. For me, I'll "get what I paid for". A cheap razor will irritate a lot. SensorExcel will irritate a little but won't cause major problems. Mach3 really does give a good shave. And Mach3 Turbo really does give a better shave. But again, if you have a face that's always pretty smooth, you don't need a great razor.

I still think razors have a long way to come before I will ever look forward to shaving. With that said, the SensorExcell delivers what it pronmised. A smooth, easy shave. Also it does so at about 50% of the price of the MACH 3. Personally I shave with Lotion as opposed to shaving cream but even when I had to shave without cream in the jungle, this thing didn't rip up my face.
