I was never a big fan of Gatti, although there's no denying his trilogy of battles with Mickey Ward was pretty compelling.

According to sketchy news reports, he appears to have been murdered by his wife while on a second honeymoon in Brazil. This is the same woman he assaulted and had a court order requiring him to stay 200 metres away from.

The famous names passing on this summer just keep on coming. Gatti was found dead today while on vacation with his wife and child in Brazil. From what I've read so far, authorities suspect foul play but have not released much information yet. This seems eerily similar to the way Steve McNair recently passed.
