 | GenghisTheHun (168) 04/02/2008 | Opposites attract. This is an old cliche, but so often, it is true.

 | SuKingsANDKnights300 (14) 04/02/2008 | Unfortunately, unacceptable for me. I called this is a racial discrimination, and an isolation. BIG NO, for me. the man.

 | edt4 (99) 04/02/2008 | You can differ on music (she likes Loretta Lynn; you like Bill Evans) or even religion (my last serious relationship was with a woman raised Catholic who converted to Protestantism; I was an agnostic from a mixed Catholic-Protestant background), but those poligtical differences will kill a relationship every time.

 | DynaSword11252 (26) 04/02/2008 | This happens alot, but this should not stop anyone from dating, going out to eat, a movie, whatever? I married a woman whose religion was different, and her music was also, but she now believes like I do, but her music? She still loves dance music-Yawns---lol

 | oscargamblesfro (76) 04/02/2008 | If I wasn't happy with who I have, why yes, I guess I would go looking for that black Republican Jain chick with all of Limp Bizkit's albums..

 | irishgit (138) 04/02/2008 | Seconding Canadasucks motion, Hogwash. Some of the most entertaining encounters I've ever had were with women vastly different from me.

 | CanadaSucks (45) 04/02/2008 | Garbage. No sexual chase or conquest is quite as yummy as the "other". . .better for temporary moments than longer relationships. . .

 | XAgent (28) 04/02/2008 | Thats a maybe. If only a few things are different are fine but if everything is than you might have a problem.

 | Humorbot (21) 03/30/2008 | Eh, it doesn't matter that much.
Not to me anyway.
It's only a problem if either of you start pushing the other around trying to get them to like the same thing.

 | Molfan (57) 03/27/2008 | you cannot have exact feelings on everything unless you marry a robot. it is only expected you will disagree on some subjects. some may be more important than others. that would be men or women. just have to choose your battles.I can understand if you disagree on virtually everything. but this and that?

 | FranksWildYears (48) 03/26/2008 | Somewhere on this site there must be a topic: "Dating advice for women" and the number one most popular item on the list is "Do not date mikeholly93". The second most popular one is: "If you date mikeholly93, take him for all he's worth, spend all his money, crash his car, and mess up his apartment". There might even be an entry "mikeholly93 is no great shakes in the sack".

 | BlueOrchid (41) 04/09/2006 | THAT IS POSSIBLY THE STUPIDEST ADVICE I'VE EVER HEARD. You don't always have to have the same music taste as a significant other nor the same political belifs. Many people have disproved your statement.
By the way, you spelt "poligtical" wrong.

 | texasyankee (21) 04/22/2005 | Well if it's different music I doubt very much that a person will date, unless music is not a large part of either's lives. As far as religious and political beliefs, everyone has their own beliefs and opinions, sometimes it's fun to express, even argue. These are not factors I would use to determine if a person should date or not.

 | abichara (60) 01/30/2005 | 1. I have my own political beliefs and that's it. No one agrees 100% of the time. Agree to disagree, this is not something that should terminate a relationship. There will always be disagreements about this kind of thing. There's no need to be too strident, but that's not somewhere you ought to go on a first date anyways. 2. Some girls would rather go out with someone of their own religion, with me that's no killer. Religion is something that can be worked around if both of you agree to it. 3. Music is no big deal either. It doesn't define the person at the end of the day and if you use it to judge a persons character, then you need to change your criteria, for that's very shallow.
