I've been carefully analyzing (for once) the history of the U.S. as we picked other countries and clawed our way to the top. Maybe we haven't always done the right thing. Maybe Dick Dirk has some valid points (groan). But the thing that sticks in my mind is that our dream is better than anyone elses. Who's dream would you rather have? The Nazi's? The Taliban's? Nobody dreams of anthing but personal gain and domination, and America is the lone exception to this, so I'll stick with our messed little dream, because the alternative sucks. UPDATE: Dirky, you know full well that a gutter dwelling Jarhead like myself won't aim much higher than center mass.

Very well said, numbah. It would be fair to say that the Afghans, the Iraqis and maybe, just maybe, some of the Palestinians are dreaming the same dream, too. Immigrants to the US, both legal and illegal, probably share it, too.

An honest day's work is reward enough for some, even better to get buku dollars for it. :)
