MovieMars (www.moviemars.com) is extremely unethical. Many consumers have placed orders and been charged but never received their merchandise. There is NO customer service at MovieMars - they ignore all emails, telephone calls and voice messages.Unfortunately, MovieMars does business under the banner of Amazon.com. Do not be fooled by the relationship. The high customer rating and positive reviews posted on Amazon.com are false. MovieMars mass-produces these reviews and blocks unhappy customers from providing negative feedback. To date, Amazon.com has not taken any action to address this fraud even though Amazon.com has been provided with information from numerous consumers.Do not be fooled... avoid MovieMars and save yourself your money and headaches!MovieMars is currently under investigation by the NC State Attorney General - Consumer Fraud.

MovieMars (www.moviemars.com) has a documented history of consumer fraud. Just "google" moviemars to find numerous complaints bu consumers. What is most unfortunate is that Amazon.com continues to allow this company to run business under the Amazon.com banner. Many consumers have been charged by MovieMars for orders that they never received. There is NO customer service at MovieMars - the consumer is wasting his or her energy trying to get a resolution from this company. MovieMars does not reply to emails nor does it respond to telephone calls or voice messages.Amazon.com will not address problems with MovieMars even though Amazon.com permits MovieMars to function as a third-party seller through Amazon.com.It appears the MovieMars fabricates their "customer reviews" to acquire the high rating that they display on the Amazon.com website. Unhappy customers have been blocked from writing negative reviews by MovieMars. This has been pointed out to Amazon.com but, to date, Amazon.com has done NOTHING to address this act of fraud.Currently, MovieMars is under investigation by the NC State Attorney General's Consumer Fraud division. Any consumer who has had a problem with MovieMars should file a complaint with the BBB and the NC State Attorney General's office. This can be done online.

I found MovieMars through the Amazon.com website. Since it was "endorsed" by Amazon.com and had great "reviews", I made a purchase with MovieMars. The Amazon.com site was not working properly (Internet Explorer incompatibility issue), so it was suggested that I go directly to the MovieMars website. I purchased several DVDs and provided my credit card for payment. I noticed that some items (DVDs) that Amazon said MovieMars could provide were not found on the MovieMars website so I sent an email inquiring about these items to MovieMars. No one ever responded to my emails. I also never received the email confirmation that my order had been placed. A few days later, however, I discovered that MovieMars had charged my credit card. Again I sent email requesting information from MovieMars. No one replied. Then I tried calling them. No one answered the telephone so I left voice messages. No one returned my messages. I then contacted Amazon.com who indicated that since I made my purchase on the MovieMars site and not on the Amazon.com site, they would do nothing to assist me. By this point, I had "googled" MovieMars and found a trail of other frauded consumers. I passed this information on to Amazon.com requesting that they investigate the matter. It appears that MovieMars submits fake reviews - all very positive - to push up their rating on Amazon.com. There were hundreds of new reviews on the day I started my complaint. Since I did not have an "order number" - I was denied access to the review site to express my experience.Subsequently, complaints have been filed with Better Business Bureau and the NC State Attorney General - Consumer Affairs. At this time, Amazon.com is still advertising "MovieMars" as a third-party vendor. I am still waiting for my refund. Shame on MovieMars and shame on Amazon.com.
