A large hostel with funky décor and eccentric, friendly staff. They have kitchens, common rooms, and pay phones. The rate is $30-40/night. When I was here, I started off in a ten-person room, but when a Syrian man woke me up with his loud snoring, I complained to the staff, who let me move to a room that happened to be empty.
