This is my favourite beer, hands down. Whenever I am in the US, this is the only beer I will drink.

Around here it's what you get when you say Lager!!! Great beer and america's oldest brewery!
imogen 06/21/2009
While I prefer Yuengling Black & Tan, I appreciate the comfort of ordering "a lager" in southeastern Pennsylvania and knowing I will get served Yuengling Lager. It is inexpensive, but has much more flavor than the big-name American brands. The characteristic after-taste is what prevents me from giving it 5-stars--which is why I prefer the Black & Tan (a mix of Yuengling lager and porter).
jshreeves7 06/07/2009
One of the best beers of the world and definitely the best in America!
Genuinewhitebo yy 05/21/2009
by far my favorite beer pretty fair priced, tastes great no hang over
Chalky 10/08/2008
Although this is my hero-Mark Linn Baker's favorite beer, I unfortunately have to say that it's just an 'okay' beer to me.
Shaggyb 09/24/2008
Quite a tasty lager. I miss this beer. I can't find it anywhere on the west coast.
Doctor of Madness 07/25/2008
A wonderful beer, the equal of super-premiums costing twice as much. Not available in Massachusetts yet, but I drink it when I can.
grizzdipper 05/16/2008
my friend got me drinking yuengling and it wasnt all that bad. smooth and tastes good 2 me atleast.
rateitallrocks 04/12/2008
i have been drinking yuengling since i was 14 years old. I am know 26 and still drinking it. It is one of the best tasting beers for its price. You could never go wrong with bringing yuengling with you to a get together.
LowRent 03/14/2008
A pretty good beer, especially for the price. I'm kind of surprised they don't charge more.
Lacrymosa 12/16/2007
My personal favorite Lager! Darker and heavier than most American Lagers, has a malty tatse that's fuller bodied than most, with alot of flavor, and goes down really smooth. Tastes bests when poured into a glass and is excellent with food!
EternalLove 11/15/2007
Not bad for an odd sounding American beer.
xtnshun 10/30/2007
This is very good for a "economy" beer. It actually tastes like a true lager.
PapaLegba 09/30/2007
The best value beer available in Montgomery county, MD
riderofwaes 09/23/2007
a for a large american brewery it is good. Not my favorite by anymeans, but it is the only american brew I enjoy that a typical college drinker would recognize.
cfiorot 08/18/2007
one of my most favorie beers... tastes amazing and goes good with anything!!
mrjoemrjoe 03/20/2007
Are you kidding me? This is a time proven beer of solid German heritage with outstanding taste and no bitter after-taste. It's best from the tap in a tall schooner as opposed to the sometimes skunky bottle variety. Anyone who drinks Bud instead of Yuengling lager is really missing out. Hands down the best beer for your buck. Lager gets four out of five stars.
jcfeg 06/10/2006
A great beer with food. Has been described as a "meal" in itself. Can only drink 3 or 4 because it is a filling beer. If you like Bass Ale, you'll love Yeungling Lager.
kingguiness 05/12/2006
Yuengling is here in PA and I must say it's overrated. I dispute the claims that it has no aftertaste. It tastes like wood and if I drink enough I feel it.
Djahuti 04/16/2006
Made in Pennsylvania at one of the Countries oldest breweries,Yuengling makes several good quality beers for the price. The Lager gets 3/12 stars.
rlt530 03/29/2006
It was my beer of choice when I spent some time in Philadelphia. I wish this beer was more widely distributed. I know other people here in the midwest who would buy it.
Ih8rateitall 03/10/2006
What kind of beer is this? It sounds too fancy for a all American male such as myself. This sounds like a beer popular in Europe or something. Give me a bud dudes!
lslcs4lif 03/04/2006
THE staple "real beer" around here. Tasted good on tap or bottled...
lvbrink 12/12/2005
I live in Las Vegas. I was born and raised in Grove City PA. I've tasted a lot of beers form around the world, and Yuengling is by far the BEST BEER EVER!!!!!!!!!
bubbaman11 11/22/2005
I have to say this has got to be the best beer i have tasted. Its so much better than Coors and Miller and all of those. I get a case every week and enjoy it to the last drop.
East_Coast_4li fe 11/13/2005
A great beer with no aftertaste. I take it with me whenever I'm out of it's distribtoin area.
civiletti 11/02/2005
Real beer, but pretty insipid once you develop a taste for microbrew. Still, lots better than Bud, Coors, and such excuses for beer.

I hate beer generally speaking, but took a drink of my husband's stein of Yuengling Lager at Carrabba's Italian Grill the other night and what a wonderful flavor. Full bodied and no nasty bitter afterbite. I immediately went to the internet to find out if we can buy it over the counter in Alabama and wonder of wonders, we can get it at Walmart Supercenters and Bruno's. I'm ready to order a pony keg for a standby supply. Great stuff.
Urkevitz 09/21/2005
Okay beer. I buy this for parties, people are impressed with the name, but it is way cheaper than Coors light.
magellan 08/10/2005
Yuengling is the real deal. World class beer from Pottsville, PA. As a PA boy, I can safely say that not many world class things come out of Pottsville, but Yuengling is the exception.
srr121 07/16/2005
Recently took at trip to PA/MD had Yuengling from keg, God shined down from the heavens and the angels sang aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh but damn it now Yuengling for me in dallas!!!!!!! What is this world coming to? SPEAKING FOR EVERYONE IN DALLAS: WE NEED THE 'LING!!!!!!!!!

bigshawninhous ton 02/25/2005
i encountered yuengling during a brief stay in florida and upon returning to texas and finding out i can't get it here, i am ready to return to florida any day now. thats how good this beer is!
greenbreeze 02/20/2005
america's oldest beer! from PA i'd rather drink it over sam adams, pete's etc.
RaterX 02/14/2005
Logical choice when you don't want to default to Sam Adams, but still want a drinkable beer with flavor.
meo 02/04/2005
An excellent choice of beer. A nice smooth taste. And they go down nice and easy too.
Joe Schraufnagel 02/03/2005
I've drunk myself blind off worse crap than this middling fantasia of bum piss and alfalfa mulch but the real charm lies with its name...Yuengling. So musical. I named my kitty Yuengling.
Skizero 01/24/2005
pseudo-highbrow beer. I used to drink this with the other idiots when we wanted to seem we were above a 30-pack of Hamm's.

I was born and raised in northeast PA. Now I live in Virginia. I turned all my friends onto Lager. They now love it as much as I do! An excellent beer.
Wavebacker 01/16/2005
I dont know how many people outside of the Middle-Atlantic ( Pennsylvania) know about this beer, but it's awesome. An excellent beer, I could drink it all day ( I have). A favorite.
zuchinibut 12/14/2004
I love Yuengling, because it is a higher quality than the Buds and Millers out there, but is still really inexpensive to buy. I've found it funny though on several occasions when I have seen Yuengling listed on restaurant menus as Imported. Its from America's oldest brewery dumbasses...how could it be imported.
gmanod 10/17/2004
Definetly one of my favorite beers. I'm from Philly and it is the standard beer that people get; say, Lager and the bartender knows exactly what you want. Its amber coloring and smooth taste make it perfect for anytime of the year. Come to Philadelphia and check out the brewery in Pottstown; it also provides the opportunity to try any of the other local brews that you can only get in the city, but are really good. One of the best beers from one of the best beer making towns in the country.
AmandaTaylor 09/24/2004
This is always my first choice. It is much easier to take than any other beer I've ever had.
Beer Drinker 07/22/2004
A full body taste that doesn't leave you bloated. THIS is truly the one beer to have when your having more then one.
guba 06/16/2004
Best lager in America.
Dragon 5 12/30/2003
A good lager, but the Black & Tan is better.
Jucopasti 11/16/2003
has a smooth, rich flavor. by far THE best american beer
