I wouldn't put Siouxsie & the Banshees in the 'Alternative' (to Good) category, and they were on a major label so they're not strictly speaking an indie band, but they were one of the best original London punk bands.

Not overly familiar with their entire career but the tunes I've heard are catchy, funky. and innovative.

Innovative, quirky, joyous, and wonderful. Infectious music and a few first-rate videos as well. One of the reasons I loved 80s music.

Siouxsie is my all-time favorite. I've been listening to her for as long as i can remember. She has come a long way since i was born! My favorite thing about her is that every time somebody tried to put a label on her...she changed her style. She doesn't care what anyone thinks, and she and her band are completely brilliant. I wish that i had even half the talent they do.And she is stunning.

Without a doubt Siouxsie and the Banshees were one of the best bands to come out of the post punk era. Along with Bauhaus and the Cure they hlped to establish the goth scene.
