This has got to be the worst bank I have ever had the displeasure to deal with. They have been holding my direct deposit checks an extra 2 days. I have had many banks over the years and they always show my money being deposited on Friday. These clowns hold my money until Sunday or even Monday! This has caused some over-draft fees that they will not remove. Often times I will see a balance on their online system that does not reflect the real amount. This isn't a bank error. This is incompetence and robbery!!!!!

this is the worst bank EVER!!! they accidently bounced my check and refused to fix what they had done. then they accidently took $749 for no reason. so i left and went to 5/3. a way better bank so far. everyone at tcf is rude and will not help you no matter what. i got kicked out of my building because of repeated "bounced checks" that i had more than enough money for. but they "accidently" bounce checks all the time! they did it to me 5 monthes in a row!!!!!

This bank is TERRIBLE! I went to the bank to pay a consumer loan for my grandfather. This is the bank located at the Jewel at 95th and Ashland in Chicago, IL. I waited and waited and waited in line for 45 minutes while 2 tellers tried to handle the 15 customers in line. All the time three ladies sat in the office chatting. Several customer pleaded for more tellers and were told 'you just have to be patient and wait'. When I finally made it to the line and tried to make a payment I was told they do not take cash. Now my husband has been paying this same loan with cash for the past year now all of a sudden they don't take cash, checks only. The branch manager said I needed to write and check I explained to her that my husband paid with cash... then I could not hear her response with the noise in the background from the store and plastic separating us with my hearing problems. So I yelled, HELLO CAN YOU HEAR ME, can you speak up! Next thing I know she is asking security to make me leave and she is refusing service. I explained to security that I had a hearing problem and could not hear what she was saying. Finally I was escorted into the office where the bank manager said I had to pay for a cashiers check to make my payment. I said okay. I went back to the teller and yes the line was still expanding with more customer complaints and waited for 10 minutes and new teller did not know how to make a payment so he sent me to the other young lady. She then decided that there was no fee, HUH?? What was all the drama about, when they do take cash, they just have to convert it into a check for their records.. Why are they bothering me with this information if this is what they are supposed to do automatically? Well needless to say this took another 10 mins and by the time it was all over I had spent over an hour and a half to pay a mortgage payment and was discriminated against because I could not hear through the plastic.....
