Never take your dog to this horrible place! I brought my dog in for a brief evaluation by the trainer/owner Jim. The owner completely abused my dog. The "corrections," that Jim was using on my dog were so forceful I thought that Jim was going to break my dogs neck. Jim was verbally and physically abusive to my dog. At one point Jim the owner/Trainer told me that if my dog belonged to him that he would, "Tie him up and beat the shit out of him." I left The Chicago Canine Academy feeling emotional and traumatized and the next day my dog had bloody scabs from Jim's abuse. If you love your dogs DO NOT BRING THEM TO CHICAGO CANINE ACADEMY!

The first time we took our dog to Chicago Canine Academy I was not terribly impressed, but the owner seemed friendly and reassuring. When we picked up our dog three days later, we were charged for four days, but I thought it was because we were just over the 24 hour mark on the third day. The second time we took our dog there, we were again charged for four days at a higher rate than we had been quoted, and our dog had an abcess that required surgery to address. We are never going back.
