I hate drugs. I hate them with a passion. I've seen people mess up their lives and I've seen people die because of drug use. However, I know these people were not terrorists. Drug-users are victums, not murderers. They need our help, not our hate.

Yet another example of how out of touch the federal government is when it comes to the war on drugs. I wonder how many clinics and rehab centers had their funding cut so that this silly, useless commercial could be produced?

The fact is, is that this message is a lie. It is the War on Drugs that has sponsored terrorism. If people weren't kidnapped or killed (i.e Peter McWilliams) by the government for growing plants, we wouldn't be relying on other nations for the drugs.

I'm all for a new spin on the anti-drug message. Clearly, "Just Say No," and the "Cool kids don't do drugs" messages aren't really working. Why not tap into the patriotism theme? Every other marketing campaign is doing it.. why not the anti-drug guys?
