The first half was really boring, but I still give four stars for the way it finished. Probably the greatest last play in Superbowl history. I may not have his exact words, but Al Michaels called it when he said, "You remember the movie 'The Longest Yard'? You just saw the sequel."

Come on! That final play of the game was one of the all-time great sports moments. I'll never forget that outstretched arm on the ONE YARD line.

One of the greatest games I've ever seen. . .one of those rare games where no one team 'won' but simply time ran out on the other team. . .an incredible finish. . .

Super Bowl XXXIV (2000, St. Louis 23, Tennessee 16) 5

Of XL Super Bowls, I Rank it VI. A classic battle in contrasts between the Greatest Show on Turf, versus the Titans, whose offense was so conservative, even Woody Hayes screamed [from the grave], "Mix it up a bit." It was a great game from opening kickoff to the very last play. The 4th quarter bomb from Kurt Warner to Isaac Bruce was one of the best clutch plays I ever saw in a Super Bowl. Tennessee made a great last-ditch effort. Mike Jones deserves his props, but I don't think there would have been too many NFL-caliber linebackers who would have missed that tackle on Kevin Dyson, based on angle and momentum. Warner passed for over 400 yards that game. Remember, he was the back up quarterback until Trent Green wrecked his knee in pre-season. The Rams were one of the most exciting teams I ever saw with Warner, Bruce, Marshall Faulk, and Torry Holt. Credit Mike Martz, the Offensive Coordinator, who later became head coach of the Rams with very mixed results.

Awesome! One of the few Super Bowls in history to come down to one play and literally the last second. I held my breath so many times I thought I was gonna pass out. The important thing was that Kurt Warner was awesome, breaking the record for total yards passed and that he and Isaac Bruce made the big play when needed. Was also good to see Coach Vermeil finally get to win the big game after losing it 20 years earlier. Wish he could have stayed and won another won!

I can't in good conscience give this game a 5 because the first three quarters were depressingly dull, with the Rams kicking their way to a 16-3 lead and Blaine Bishop being hurt and carted off. In fact, I was on the verge of turning off my TV until the Titans FINALLY scored and made it a game. Everybody remembers the ending of course but conveniently forgets about the first 3/4 of the game.

Simply the greatest Superbowl ever played! :) And I'm NOT just saying that as a Rams fan, but also as a football fan. My emotions were all over the map with this game like no other, and that means that it was a great game from start to finish.

This was such an incredible game. I can remember it nearly moment to moment. It was just so edge of your seat the entire time, you couldn't breath until even after the final seconds ticked off.

Dick Vermeil truly is one of the greatest coaches in the NFL ever. And the Rams from 1999-2000 truly were the Greatest Show on Turf Can you ask for a closer finish???

Yes , the 4 th Quarter was very exciting , and , it had probably the best finish to any SB . But everybody already seems to have forgotten the 1st half - mostly defensive , and what was the score ?Rams 6-0, or 9-0 ? A very good one ,but not the best one .

The greatest moment of my life. "Can he get in? NO, he can NOT! Mike Jones made the tackle! And the Rams have won the Super Bowl!"

I would have loved to see Tennessee win but it was a hard fought game and we need more like them.

He's right. The margin of victory wasn't 7 points- it was one inch! Add that plus the Rams' turnaround, Warner's feel-good discovery, the Titans' march to Atlanta in their first year in Tennessee as the Titans... this Super Bowl had all you could ask for.
