 | alpepper (22) 05/27/2004 | I was in the Navy and our ship was in Haifa, Israel that day. For weeks, I was pursuing a part we needed for our satellite communications system that would allow us to get the Armed Forces TV network. The part seemed to always miss the ship, and I was getting threats from the brass that if the Admiral couldn't watch the Super Bowl, I was going to get in trouble. Well, the part came in and we got the game. For us, it was a Monday 2:00 AM kickoff. Maybe a dozen people on the ship were still awake. The game was literally over in the first 5 minutes. I went to bed shortly after the 2nd quarter.

 | jgls (14) 01/12/2004 | this was the season that cockroach carmen policy did some creative math concerning the salary cap and the 49ers were fined draft picks later on for what was basically cheating. their title should have stripped, but they just got a slap on the wrist.

 | Jason1972 (4) 12/18/2002 | It was one of those games where you knew it would be one-sided. San Fran was riding high on a dynasty.

 | lukskywlkr. (3) 10/24/2002 | This one sucked, especially since San Fran shouldn't have been there in the first place. Had the ref's admitted their mistake and called Deion Sanders for pass interference, it would have been Dallas in the Super Bowl instead of the 49ers. A big * should be put by this one. It doesn't really count in my opinion.
