I was just a kid when this game occurred. I had an aunt that I bet on the game with - she chose the Eagles. The stakes, I win - I get a meal at McDonalds, I lose - I shovel her driveway, a formidable task in Canada. I didn't understand the concept of an "underdog" at the time so I think she thought she was going to get the better of me but the silver and black got me that damn Happy meal...and it was good.

Jim Plunkett stole the MVP.

What happened? the eagles were supposed to eat the raiders alive. but whenever the were about to score, they seemed to choke. but rod martins three interceptions did make it a memorable game.

I was an Eagles fan, living in Philly at the time. The city was in a Euphoric Rapturefor 2 weeks in anticipation. Then the game started. An 80 yard TD of a pass that travelled about 10 yards was a bad omen. Then all the interceptions by Rod Martin. Had the Eagles not been in it, I would have shut it off somewhere in the second quarter.
