This was an interesting and well-played game. The Rams had the lead going into the final quarter, then the Steelers turned on the juice. John Stallworth caught a bomb to give Pittsburgh the lead in the 4th quarter. Incredibly, the Steelers had practiced that play all week without success.

Perhaps the most underrated Super Bowl ever, and better than the previous one, final score nonwithstanding. It's a shame that this game turned out to be Pittsburgh's biggest margin of victory in a Super Bowl, because this was really the one they could've easily lost.

I wonder how many people remember that Bradshaw threw a pass directly into the pads of a Rams defender that would have probably allowed LA to win the game. If you go over the Pittsburgh Super Bowls, as great as that team was, they really escaped thanks to lucky breaks in three of them. They very easily could have been 1-3 in the decade.

Next to SB XIII , this is probably my choice for best SB . Not as exciting as the one the year before against Dallas , but just as riveting , from beginning to end ,and better played , almost no turnovers .Throughout the 70's , the Rams had always come so close to making the SB , with teams that many would pick to win it , but they could never get past Dallas or the Vikes in the NFC Championship , and got labled as chokers , and were always in turmoil . Then , with one of their weakest ever teams (9-7 ),they somehow upset Dallas ,and Tampa Bay , and finally make it to the big game. More incredibly , they come within a step of beating the Steelers. Everybody expected Vince Ferragamo to fold under the pressure , and the Steel Curtain to clobber him , but , he played above and beyond the call of duty , and , except for one interception , the ONE MISTAKE that he made the entire game ,midway throught the 4th , played almost flawlessly .

Any team that beats a Los Angeles football team is a good one.
