Okay, I'm a Cowboys fan and the five stars is as much for sentimental and homer reasons as anything. Sue me.
It was the first Superbowl I can remember watching, which turned out to be the last Superbowl win for both Roger Staubach and Tom Landry, as well as all the other Cowboys from the time period. A great defensive display by Dallas as they held former Cowboy Criag Morton to a miniscule amount of passing yards. It's odd now to look at a 27-10 score and say blowout, but for the time that was pretty lopsided.

I love a defensive battle and a lot of turnovers so this was my kind of game.
Right from the very beginning you could see what kind of game this was going to be. The Cowboys set up a reverse flea-flicker, but WR Butch Johnson (who would later make one of the greatest TD catches in Super Bowl history) fumbled the ball, recovered it, and was tackled by Broncos LB, Tom Jackson for a 9 yard loss.
I will always remember Super Bowl XII for the absolutely, atrocious performance of Broncos QB, Craig Morton. Morton, who ironically won comeback player of the year in 1977, threw only 8INT's the entire season. However, in Super Bowl XII, Morton completed as many passes to The Cowboys (4) as he did his own team. Craig Morton was 4-15 for 39 yards with 4INT's though, and was pulled midway through the 3rd quarter, when after a 67 kickoff return by WR, Rick Upchurch, Morton threw a pass right into the hands of Cowboys DE Ed "Too Tall" Jones. Jones dropped what most likely would've been returned for a TD.
The fact that The Broncos turned the ball over 8 times but only allowed 2 TD's was a testiment to the "Orange Crush" defense. In the end, however, it was The Cowboys "Doomsday" defense, led by co MVP's Harvey Martin and Randy White, who dominated the game and gave The Cowboys their 2nd World Championship in 6 years.
Cowboys kicker, Efram Herrera attempted a record 5 field goals in the 1st half, and missed 3 of them.

Really Bad game unless you root for the Cowboys. The Cowboys put on another Dominating Defensive perfromance with DT Randy White and DE Harvey Martin winning Co-MVP.Backup Safety Randy Hughes had two fumble recoveries and one interception and could have been MVP as well but all season long White and Martin were dominate so the MVP was well deserved.

Nothing memorable, except for the loud orange uniforms Denver wore.

Never a doubt during this game. A few great plays were made which made a little entertaining.

Any Cowboy victory in the Super Bowl is a five.
