This was one of the more boring Super Bowls in the annals of Super Bowl History. JOe Namath said in the pregame "If The Dolphins go down the field and score a touchdown on their first drive, the game is over."
Well that's exactly what The Dolphins did, on their first 2 possesions. They immediately established dominance of the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Larry Csonka set a Super Bowl record with 145 yards rushing, while The Vikings running back, Chuck Foreman (who won the Rookie of the Year award in 1973) was held to just 18 yards on only 7 carries.
The Dolphins took a 24-0 lead in this game before Fran Tarkenton bootlegged his way into the endzone, early in the 4th quarter. The final score of 24-7 doesn't indicate how much of a blowout this game was. The most telling stat in the game, perhaps, is that Dolphins QB, Bob Griese only threw 7 passes the entire game.

A more complete and dominating performance by my Dolphins than the previous win. I just don't get how the Purple People Eater D was considered so great. They must've really shut teams down in the regular season because in all 4 Super Bowl losses they just got physically manandled.

More of an execution than a game. Minnesota was supremely outmatched.

The best memory I have of this game is that it was played in Houston at Rice Stadium. Otherwise, it was totally dominated by the Dolphins. One of the less entertaining games in SB history.

Shula repeats, how cool is that.
