She would be so mad because she'd planned out her cards perfectly to win. Haha, those were great memories with her and I will always be fond of this game because of that.

 | MommyL (8) 07/20/2006 | My husband and son and I like to play this. When I was teaching my son to play (he was maybe 5 at the time--he's 8 now), at one point he had four or five cards in his hand and asked me, "Do I say 'uno' now?" :D

 | CanadaSucks (45) 07/18/2006 | Hated it as a child and don't think much better of it now. . .I was an Anglo-phile literary nut as a child and I refused to learn any Spanish on principle. . .I guess I wasn't PC before PC was a concept. . .

 | trebon1038 (62) 07/18/2006 | Uno is a fun game when you have a large group but for some reason I always end up with a lot of cards...hum

 | alpepper (21) 05/08/2006 | Outside of Poker, UNO is my favorite card game. It's fun, whether you play with your five-year old daughter or play someone to win. There is a lot of strategy involved. In college, we played for beer where, let's say "Wild Draw 4" meant you had to drink 4 shots of kamikazees. One night, we were playing this form of UNO at one of the boathouse row clubhouses in Philly. After getting thoroughly thrashed (literally and figuratively), I was driven to Smokey Joe's where in a 1-hour span, I made out with a girl on top of a pinball machine, got into a scuffle with some dudes, and got thrown out of the bar by the staff. Talk about "Wild!!!"
Before UNO was invented, we played a variation with a standard deck of cards called "Knuckles." It played like UNO without wild cards. And for every card you had left in your hand, you got whacked in the knuckles by the deck of cards (for black - the cards were laid flat like a hammer; for red - you were struck with the knife edge of the cards which sliced like a knife. I attest my early onset of arthritic hands to this wonderful game.

 | VisionDude8 (0) 11/13/2004 | The trick to making sure this game NEVER grows old is variations. My group of friends have played like millions of types of UNO... from switching places every turn, to hide-and-go-UNO, we've had good times.

 | OneHungryMonster (2) 08/30/2004 | That's pretty fun. Plus there's room for rule-bending, and playing with different variations is always cool.

 | Poopy Jones (0) 07/23/2004 | UNO is the best card game I have ever had the privelage to play. It's an overwhelmingly complex and strategic game of wit and savvy, and it takes years of study to be able to take on the greatest champions of UNO. Master UNO players can expect levels of respect from their lesser, non UNO playing friends and family bordering on awe, and it's a well known fact that UNO masters get all the sexy ladies and wads of cash they could have ever dreamed of. Nothing compares to a night of intense UNO, sitting in a boardroom with various other gentlemen, smoking cigars playing UNO to cries of: jolly good play old chap and UNO, my good fellow! Haw haw haw

 | Redoedo (39) 03/19/2004 | While it has been quite a while since I played Uno, I remember always having a decent time playing, especially with a large group of people. It's always fun to stick it to the unlucky chap sitting next to you, especially if it's someone you don't particularly care for.
