A fun movie with a good cast, etc. But who would ever believe Julie Andrews was a man? That was the only sticking point for me in an otherwise fine film.

Very good movie. Julie Andrews is a down and out singer in France who is befriended by a gay man who works at a Cabaret type theater. Robert preston plays the gay freind who creates an act with Julie playing a manpretending to be a woman. Of course she really is a woman. There are some great songs in this movie too. James Garner plays an american wealthy man who catches on to her act. and Leslie ann Warren is real funny as the floozy girl friend of the James Garner chacter. this is a pretty funny movie with some good performnces by the actors.I wish I had the chance to have seen this on Broadway.

I REALLY didn't think I would like this movie when I first started watching it. It just didn't look that good. But the more I watched the more I enjoyed it, and I was laughing out loud at some of the comedy. The music's not bad either. A pleasant surprise.

A classy, fun movie with great musical numbers. Julie Andrews and Robert Preston give outstanding performances. The set decoration, costumes and cinematography give the movie a really great look. James Garner, Lesley Ann Warren and Alex Karras give great performances as well. A classic movie musical.
