T Mobile is rock solid. Good plans, great signal, the best customer service out there... No doubt.. Never ever will I leave them... They treat you right, been with them for a good 5 years.. People on here are ridiculous... You always here them complaining because they didn't get there way. T-mobile is a business, which has policies therefore they follow them.. I don't understand sometimes, some customers just suck. I've worked at a call center before and had customers always calling in complaining, trying to bend the rules and policies and if we don't do that for them they bitch, and start write stupid, negative reviews. Just think about it, your only hearing the customer's side of the story... which is always gonna be the victim side of the story. All I'm saying is research, talk to friends and family, and get the whole picture before jumping in conclusions... T-MOBILE FOR LIFE!!!

Horrible service. I gave up on T-mobile after two years of poor service and constantly dropped calls. Save your money and a lot of aggravation. I switched to Verizon and am sooo much happier with the level of coverage and no more dropped calls.

My girlfriend still has T-mobile and if she's driving, her connection drops constantly.

The choice is yours. T-mobile is cheaper than Verizon for a reason. I always look for a bargain, but T-mobile is not worth the money you save.

I've had t-mobile for years. I've never had a problem go unsolved. I have no complaints. The only reviews you ever see are negative ones, so I am leaving a positive one. :) I would never leave t-mobile. I've had Verizon and Cingular and they were horrible. I recommend T-Mobile to anyone and everyone!!!

Had this service for years and it is the WORST EVER!!! Loads of dropped calls, different carrier fifty miles from home (same state), just out right HORRIBLE! Also, very nasty customer service people! Could not get IN ~ HOME service and like hatemobile, had to find "just the right spot" in my driveway! I would give it no stars if I could!!

Horrible! Like with many cell phone companies, it's like being trapped in a prison with T-mobile. I have been their customer since 2002, and was happy, until this year. My issues are the following:
1) i moved to my new home, which is well within city limits. In my house, everyone else gets cell phone service, EXCEPT those of us with t-mobile. It's not like we live in the country side, but we're apparently in a deadzone and i have to sit in my driveway to get service. It's annoying. Sonow i have to pay for a landline which is costing us $50/mo additional.
2) I traveled overseas and rec'd a very large $500 bill. A good chunk of it was based on int'l roaming charges for voice, but what is annoying was the data service. I was not charged for data/emails coming in, but was charged for emails i sent out. What i find frustrating, is that when i arrived overseas, i rec'd a txt message that said "Welcome to t-mobile".. with an int'l number you can contact, but they can't send a courtesy text msg stating "you may be charged DATA and voice roaming charges, please contact us to verify plan." So my husband also rec'd a big fat bill, but he was given misinformation by a cust serv rep at tmobile that he would not be charged for int'l data services prior to us traveling overseas. Due to that error on their part, my husband rec'd a discount on the bill. I, on the other hand, rec'd NOTHING.

My whole frustration is now i have to pay extra for a land line and their only solution is to upsell services to me by signing up for their new hotspot to go and i would have to buy a new phone, AND they would extend my contract again! It's just like being in a prison. I will be more than willing to give my blackberry pearl back to them if i can just get out of my service. I have been a good customer, and in all good faith, i would still be with them, but it is important for me to have cell service at home to receive work emails and calls. Now, i can't because i moved into a home that is a deadspot for ONLY t-mobile customers. It is frustrating! The customer service reps have sent me overly empathetic emails that sound almost condescending, AND they continue to upsell more services to me. It's like a horrible trap i'm in!!!!

For all the haters listen up and let me set the record straight for you knuckle heads !! 1) Before you purchase ANYTHING take the time to properly research the product before purchasing it!! Make sure that the areas that you need service in are covered. All states with the exception of CA have a 14 day grace period for returns CA has 30. This means that you are able to try the service out without having to be stuck in it as long as you cancel before the grace period ends. If you dont follow the guidlines you can only BLAME YOURSELF!! 2) In regards to T-Mobile customer care it actually ranks highest out of all wireless service providers for the last 4 years in a row. As long as your request is reasonable it will be taken care of. Now I am not saying that there will not be some instances here and there but you will get that with about anything you ever purchase. One last thing to keep in mind about cell phones in general; they are electronic products, something may go wrong wether it be user error or mechinical failure(this is not the service providers fault) ALWAYS buy the optional insurance regardless of the 1 year manufacture warranty to save yourself a headache!!

T-mobile sucks their customer support reps lie. When i bought the phone they told me i could roam on cingular towers for free, however thats not the case, you cant in some states(like mine) The phone was crap. After several warranty exchanges because of defects-and paying for shipping each time- they told me they would give me a comparable priced phone, turns out it was the base model that didnt even support the myfaves plan(the one i am on) they told me to either buy a phone at retail price, or cancel my contract. i bought a phone at retail price and shortly after the myfaves froze. i called them, after months of dealing with them having them tell me that i need to try things like shutting off the phone, they send me into tmobile store to try a different active simcard. the stores dont carry active simcards that i was told i needed, T-mobile support told me to "drive down the road and every tmobile store you see go in and ask" then hung up.

NEVER TRUST T-MOBILE EXPECIALLY T - MOBILE TO - GO BECAUSE THEY TELL YOU YOU HAVE TO PAY A DOLLAR A DAY WITH PREPDAID TO GET THE INTERNENT BUT THEN IF YOU DONT WANT TO PAY A DOLLAR THEY AUTOMACALLY CHARGE YOU WITHOUT TELLING YOU ! IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT THEY WOULDNT TELL YOU THAT IN THE BEGINNING !!!!!!

Horrible billing... Now, I'm not usually the one to complain, but everymonth for the past year my phone bill has been a different price. It jumped from $125 to $538 overnight. I don't know how, I haven't done anything for it to change. T-mobile is horrible, do not recommend.

T-Mobile is horrible. They have never been helpful in any way. The other day I dialed 418 instead of 415 and got Canada instead. Although I immediately hung up and informed them of the mistake, they charged me anyway. They also told me that even if my phone had been stolen at gunpoint and used to call burma or japan, I would still have to pay according to their policies. Can't wait for the contract to run out!

I have been using T-Mobile ToGo for about three years. I am very happy with it. The coverage here in Minnesota is very good, and now we pre-paid users can roam, so it is even better. I have no complaints with T-Mobile.

DO NOT USE T-MOBILE WIFI HOTSPOT. I was traveling in New York city in January 2007 and needed internet access. (This was just after I handed in my PhD dissertation in computer science at MIT, which was not on wireless networks, but still, it's not like I never used computers before.) I went to Starbucks, which had T-mobile hotspot. I decided to sign up for hotspot for one month. I went online, gave them my payment info and they gave me an account (this took some time). However, I was still unable to connect to the outside internet or IMAP, I was only able to connect to T-mobile's private web that's accessible without any payment. After about an hour of frustration (trying different browsers and settings) I filled in a customer support help request on their web form to cancel the change because the service does not work. I never heard back from them, but a $39.99 charge appeared on my credit card. I called them to ask about this charge and they said it's all in the and contract that I have agreed to it. It does not matter that the service did not work at all. Supposedly I should have called them. Supposedly writing a web form request does not mean anything. The lady at customer support was not rude, but refuse to give up their sweet $40 for which they provided *no* service whatsoever.

I don't know how it is in the US, but I'm from the UK and T-mobile was the first and only mobile phone service I've been with and I've been with them for almost twelve years now. What attracted me to them was their free evening and weekend calls to local landline phones - this is way before mobile phones took off the way they did. After being with this tariff for so long I switched to anyone 500 - where I get free 500 minutes to any mobile network and landlines within the UK between 6pm-7pm weekdays and all weekends and public holidays and 100 texts messages per-month. All the other networks we have in the UK - Orange, Virgin, Vodpahone have had to step up their game due to the competitive contracts from T-mobile. Customer services on this network are easy to reach, helpful and every year contracted customers get free upgrades where they get a new phone of their choice for being so loyal. The reception on my phone is more-or-less near perfect. I don't know what T-mobile are doing to customers over in the US, but they should take a leaf or six out of the ones over here in the UK.

Hi one and all. I am a t-mobile Tech Care rep. I just wanted to point out a couple of things. 1. For EVERYONE who wants a t-mobile plan...TAKES 10 MINUTES AND LOOK INTO IT!! Ladies & Gents, there is NOT ONE phone service out there that does not have dropped calls, bad signal areas, bad customer service, ect ect. If you want, take a sec and look up sprint sucks, verizon sucks, ect ect. 2. I ask only one thing of the people who have had bad service..please..and I am saying please...dont be rude to the people who take your calls. I myself get paid a measly 8 bucks an hour to sit at a cube, and take around 200 calls in an 8 hour shift. To some people, that may not seem bad..but to a smoker who cant have a smoke (because we are only allowed to have 2 smoke breaks a day) it seems very bad. The reason I say that is because I get customers who SCREAM at me because something has gone wrong! I DID NOT BREAK YOUR PHONE, OR HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOUR SIGNAL!!! Please Ladies & Gents..be nice..its not that hard! Ohh, one more thing..IF you do have a good exp with a rep..say WOW..or ask to talk to a supervisor and tell them that the rep is doing a good job. It helps us out with some extra money!! More Money = Happier Reps = VERY Happy Customers. [=

I had been with T-Mobile for 3 years, when I decided to switch my plan and they told me I would have to sign into a new one year contract. I did not want to do that, so I chose a non-promotional plan which did not require a contract. Two months later I switched to US-Cellular because of their free incoming calls. Last bill I received from T-Mobile was of $430 which in cluded $400 early termination fees. Aparently, when I switched to the non promotional plan, they renewed my contract anyway. I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with a CSR before she admitted that my contract should not have been renewed, and removed the charges. I still can't belive they tried to pull something like that on me.

I'm changing my rating of T-Mobile from a 1 to a 4. Initially I was upset by the poor coverage, but I'm SOOOOOO pleased with their amazing customer service that I'm converted. I mean c'mon... you NEVER hear of good customer service from a phone company these days, do you?! Also, either their coverage is getting better or I'm getting used to it. I still have to walk to one corner of my apt. (which is in the middle of San Francisco!) to get coverage though.

We have had the TMobile Fmaily plan for 3 years and I have to say we are please. Unfortunately we are moving from Chicago to Charlotte and they don't have service in that area. Customer Service at TMobile has always been excellent. We do experience call drops all of a sudden; our phones just shut off, so I don't know if it's TMobile or the phones we have. We have been offered deals where if we buy a new phone we get a month's credit in 6 months and have never had to fight for it...it just appears on our bill. Overall I think it's great. Too bad they aren't in Charlotte.

I thought t-mobile was one of the greatest going on 4 years with them. But after THIS experience that has lasted almost a month, I can TRUTHFULLY SAY that T-Mobile is one of the worst moblile services ANYONE can have. Calls get disconnected (even some to customer services), the people at customer services are rude unprofessional, and t-mobile will be sure to bill you for something or another (WATCH YOUR BILL FOR ANY FALSE ADDITIONS). My account had been charged OVER $100 for calls that "T-Mobile's system could not read" reading NMB UNAVAILABLE, and those calls use up your monthly minutes. It turns out that the number was my fiancee, another T-mobile customer, of whom i refered to get the mobile service (so we could talk "free mobiletomobile"). But apparently T-mobile doesn't read their own customers numbers!! and i'm getting charged for, (customer service quote): "an ovbcious SYSTEM error"! I paid what i normally pay for the month, and they said that that will affect my credit score, even though it's not the customers fault. I have had to file 3 ABR disputes, and this 3rd one better be the charm, because I'm out. Sign up with verizon!

So far so good. I've been with them for 6 months so I am holding back on giving 5 stars until I have more experience with them. Very true that you can't beat no roaming coast to coast. Very few of my calls get dropped. it sure beats Cingular.

I changed from Cingular to T-Mobile and have been very happy. I would rather drop a call than unknowingly get charged roaming like with Cingular. Cingular is deceitful and they're still trying to bill me for $650 because I talked from my phone in L.A. That's why I got T-Mobile because if it's not in an area they don't cover (which is rare) it doesn't connect. But there's also a feature you can use to bypass TMobile and connect to another mobile phone's tower in case of an emergency. Now that's service! I've been with TMobile for over a year and have traveled all over the U.S. I've never been happier.

I have T-Mobile for about a year now. Quite satisfied with service. You can't beat no roaming coast-to-coast, web-based account service and coverage. Sometimes, of course, you get a dropped call or two but, whoever suggests that other services has no such occasions, better watch his nose, it is begining to grow. I find this operator VERY satisfying.

Just a few days ago I purchased a T-Mobile to go (prepaid service) from a T-Mobile wholly owned outlet at my local mall. I needed the phone for a very specific purpose - to access a subscription internet database while away from home or the office. I thought prepaid would be fine because I really didn't need to use it too much since I am mostly at work or home. The T-mobile employee told me I should be able to access the website through T-Mobile's T-Zones, and if not, I could just return it within 14 days. So I bought it, found out immediately that it cannot access that database through their prepaid to go network. Took it back the next day and , Lo and Behold, - It's not returnable: Well, yes and no. The phone is returnable - but since I got the phone free with the purchase of prepaid time and activation - Yes, I can return it, but I can't get any money back. The activation and prepaid time is lost forever. NO ONE at T-Mobile cares. I can't even sue them, because I am bound by forced binding arbitration and must pay a fee of $25 to begin that process. They are not regulated by FCC or CPUC, so no government regulatory help is available. Basically, the employee committed fraud by informing me incorrectly. That is a crime, not a civil matter. I am in process of dealing with the City and County's DA offices, but it appears they have more important things to deal with - plus I can't prove what the employee told me. I never signed anything, but am bound by their agreement once I activate service. My service was activated by the store. T-mobile's user agreement states a phone CANNOT be returned if it HAS NOT BEEN ACTIVATED, but prepaid fees CANNOT BE REFUNDED IF IT HAS BEEN ACTIVATED. WOW - BUYER BEWARE!!!

T-Mobile customer service does suck. after being with T-Mobile for over four years. I had my phone stolen. They told me they would credit the account. part was credited. when I called back and asked why only part of the bill was credited. Customer service told me I was lucky that any part of the bill was credited. And I must pay the rest. All they care is about the bottom line. I can't wait for my contract to expire.

Unless you like headaches dealing with account issues, mediocre customer assistance and very poor follow-through with requested account changes. And a company only concerned with their bottom line, not willing to do the right thing even with a 10 dollar item. Don't sign with T-mobile.

I live and work in Harrisburg, PA area. T-Mobile's services is poor here. It frequently cuts out while traveling, even just around the city. Even worse is my home - I don't get a good signal at all and I'm told by T-Mobile that I live in an area where service may or may not work. Even so, they won't let me out of my contract because I can still get service - poor or not.

I have been with T-Mobile for about four months. The plans are somewhat satisfactory. However, the only con of T-Mobile is that they do not provide free nights. They do provide free weekends, of course. I'm thinking of switching because of this free nights issue. In addition, sometimes I receive bad signal. I installed a internal antenna on my phone and it did improve. I'm not sure if it's the phone or service. T-Mobile is a good company, but it needs free nights!

It's like a disease for which there isn't any cure. I was sold the service to have communication during the course of a long, driving, fishing trip. Bottom line, I was told I'd have coverage and I didn't. When I was finally able to call to cancel the service I was told I couldn't without penalty. I can't get rid of them and they continue to cause problems, the last of which is a charge for 121 minutes of operator assistance which a service person with an attitude told me I'd better pay, although I wasn't given any explanation for a call I didn't make. It's been a total frustration, and there isn't anyone I can contact that can give me any suggestions other than to pay a $200 penalty and walk away from T-Mobile in much the same way a person would leave an open cesspool.

Prior to T-Mobile, I had AT&T TDMA service. I thought it was the best service ever! (except when you're deep in side a building). Then I switched to AT&T GSM. What a nightmare! I know their GSM service is new, but that was ridiculous. Dropped calls everywhere! I liked the GSM service though, so tried T-Mobile. I travel from Ventura County to Los Angeles to Orange County and even north San Diego county. This service is awesome! In my three months, I've never gotten busy signals, and my calls always came through. I have the sidekick, and don't know if it's on a different network as their cell phones, but it is the best mobile device I've ever owned.

I was with T-Mobile for a year. I found their service to be ok while you were in one of their service areas, but I paid $150 to get a sleeve to use with my Nokia phone to use it on 800 MHz analong networks. T-Mobile was happy to sell me the sleeve, but neglected to tell me that they had dropped all their roaming agreements with other companies, and that analog service was no longer supported. Needless to say, I dropped them after the year was up.

My girlfrend got this service about a month ago. She bought the V.66, which is a really cool phone. Problem is, the service is TERRIBLE. Calls are dropped all the time, and when we are talking the reception is awful. Save yourself the frustration, and choose a different provider.
