I've seen it. What lesson do we draw from this tower?

Sutro Tower 2

This is a really, really ugly broadcast tower. I couldn't believe it the first time I saw it that they could build such a trident-shaped monstrosity towering over Twin Peaks. I'm sure that people who live nearby get more than their share of electromagnetic radiation.

I belive the Sutro Tower is a secret lover of the Golden Gate Bridge. The coiled arms of the bridge reaches out for forgiveness of it's bitter lover. William A. Siewert, San Francisco Native.

Sutro Tower 2

Not a very pretty sight plopped right on top of the City's most famous vista point. I never considered the tower itself to be an attraction; just a distraction from an otherwise beautiful place. It's basically just a big tv antenna. So what?

With the exception of the Golden Gate Bridge, Sutro is the most recognizable landmark in San Francisco. Not many people know what it's called or how it got there, but many speculate as to how tall it is, how long it has been there, and from how far away you can see it. I love this crazy tower.
