Tony did very well by being in Germany.  The USA missed his speed, his stamina, his strength, his 6'2" frame, his ability to hold the ball at the last W.C.

i wasnt a huge fan until....the world cup. wow, he should have made the all-tournament team over reyna. shut figo and everything else down that came to his side of the field. hopefully he'll still be fit in 3 years, despite his advancing years. i'd love to see him directing the defense alongside pope in germany '06...

Was clearly the best player for the US throughout the Cup, and looked to be the best player on the field in the US / Germany match - which is saying a lot with guys like Ballack and Klose playing on the other side.
