 | Humorbot (21) 05/05/2008 | Even without my arch-nemesis (cheese) the burger is inferior to Burger King's Whopper.

 | sperryc (29) 05/05/2008 | the McRib and the Fillet-o-fish come and go, but the QP w/ C is a McDonalds menu fixture - and rightly so.

 | trebon1038 (62) 04/11/2008 | I don't eat one regularly but when on the road it is my favorite...I can eat a Quarter pounder with cheese while driving without wearing most of it!

By whatever name, it still tastes like a turd in a bun.

 | hotel283 (20) 05/10/2006 | Basically the basic McD's Cheeseburger, but bigger. All you can taste is that super sweet ketchup.
However, it does have a little heft to it so I'll give it a three.

 | JohnSpina (17) 05/10/2006 | A fine burger. The combination of tastes make it highly palatable.

 | traderboy (25) 10/12/2005 | As with the Big Mac, these used to be tasty enough to order once in awhile, but they've gone downhill of late (maybe due to the drought in Argentina, which is where I suspect most of McDonald's beef comes from). Dry and flavorless, the only thing that saves them is the *splortch* of ketchup and mustard in the middle. The cheese is only sharp enough if it remains half-melted, and the shanks of layered onion are becoming overwhelmingly strong. They always look decent (due to the absence of shredded lettuce scattered around the carton's corners), which helps them go down easier. Expensive if not purchased during a promotional special. Making your own burgers at home is still the only assurance of quality control.

 | jazzybee (4) 06/09/2004 | should be called quarter crap with cheese.. you can get a better burger at burger king or the sonic.

 | cromulance (1) 04/26/2004 | Pretty bland...the onions are the best thing about this. Burger King and Wendy's have better offerings.

 | Redoedo (39) 03/30/2004 | An OK burger and usually the only thing I'll eat if I'm ever forced to eat at McDonald's. Compared to some of the other items on the McDonald's menu, this is heaven on earth.

 | Enkidu (37) 01/09/2004 | The undesirable parts of a dead cow, ground into pulp and covered with grease, preservatives and shreds of unidentifiable vegetables. Goes straight to the aorta.

 | DickWeener (0) 01/02/2004 | All Mcdonalds food is bad, just some worse than others. This is an ideal place for white trash People with no sense of taste or class. The Ronald Mcdonald Commericals tell them this place is #1 with Billion of losers sold, so they believe in it , because they are programmed.

 | OrwellAn (1) 12/01/2003 | I'm intrigued! How many Americans consider the almighty 'M' to be a quality meal? Personally this is what I'll resort to as a alternative to starvation. Although I usually find myself left with the pressing question: How do I like my aorta?

 | kolby1973 (32) 11/10/2003 | By far the greasiest out of all the McDonald's burgers, but still a great sandwich for lunch. It always fills me up. I also love the onions they put on it. I recommend it for an unhealthy lunch. :)

 | KikiD (0) 01/26/2003 | I'm gonna give it a 4. It's not pretentious like the Big Mac (which I DO love), but it's good for what it is. I like the way there's always a big splotch of catsup right in the middle of the burger. It's good with a few hits. One of the two best burgers at McD's (the other being the Big Mac.) PS - Mc Rib must die.

 | callmetootie (4) 07/13/2002 | 1/4 lb burger w/cheese is a pretty good burger overall, but it's also kind of boring. There's too much meat, and there's not enough toppings. I had to ask for more mustard and pickles.

 | gOoSe (0) 06/29/2002 | If i have to go to mcdonalds which i try not to this is the only item i get because it DOES taste good!

 | CastleBee (81) 06/06/2002 | If you think about this only in the context of the McDonald's menu, the Quarter Pounder isn't too bad. However, if you wander outside that kingdom it loses points fast. Compared to a double steak burger with cheese from Steak and Shake this starts to resemble a couple of lumps of Playdough on a Styrofoam bun with that little dab of mustard being the only real taste. But then, frozen identical patties really can't compete with a freshly made burger.
