Nice line, but nothing tops this:

A classic example of of type of a film, that can't be done again, because things are too policitically correct, now adays.

My favorite line from the film.....

"Well, it got so that every piss-ant prairie punk who thought he could shoot a gun would ride into town to try out the Waco Kid. I must have killed more men than Cecil B. DeMille. It got pretty gritty. I started to hear the word "draw" in my sleep. Then one day, I was just walking down the street when I heard a voice behind me say, "Reach for it, mister!" I spun around... and there I was, face-to-face with a six-year old kid. Well, I just threw my guns down and walked away. Little bastard shot me in the ass. So I limped to the nearest saloon, crawled inside a whiskey bottle, and I've been there ever since."

>>Bart: Mornin', ma'am. And isn't it a lovely mornin'?
Old Lady: Up yours, nigger.
**Later**
Jim: [consoling Bart] What did you expect? "Welcome, sonny"? "Make yourself at home"? "Marry my daughter"? You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.

>>(To two members of the KKK)
Jim: Oh, boys! Lookee what I got heyuh.
Bart: Hey, where the white women at?

But the best line EVER:
>>Bart (on stage adressing the villagers) "'Scuse me, while I whip this out."

Very funny movie, one of Mel Brooks best. Took racial tensions and stereotypes and made them funny. A very smart comedy, and I agree with Numbah; Studios would never be ballsy enough to try it these days. The public would buy it, but Studio heads are too cowardly.

I love it. This is my favorite of The Brooks films, followed by The Producers, and then Young Frankenstein. There's a pretty steep drop off after that.

My mind is aglow with whirling, transient nodes of thought... careening in a cosmic vapor of invention...

Ditto.

"Is it true, what they say of your people"?

"zzzzzrrrpppp!"

"Oh my, it's true, it's true."

or:

"Nobody makes a move or the nigger gets it!"

There would be no protest....My money says Oscar loves the movie.

Quotable, downright inappropriate, and generally hilarious. I don't think you could make this movie today without some kind of protest.
