Beetlejuice had some potential, but for some reason it was just kind of flat. I don't know, I guess it's just hard to properly combine comedy with a little bit of horror. I guess that's where it failed. Beetlejuice should have been just a little more on the scary side for it to be good.

Two newlyweds die in a car accident. they go back to their house to find that the realtor friend of theirs has sold it to this family, an obnoxious wife art person, stuffy husband, and teenage daughter. the couple are now ghosts and the only person who can see them is the girl. they see an ad for this ghost named Beetlejuice who promises to get this family out of the house. Michael Keaton is great as beetlejuice the unconventional ghost.He plays some parlor tricks on the family as they are entertaining a group very funny scene.In the end they find a way to live together. has some very funny moments.

I never saw this movie all the way through. It came out in the '80's, and I'm sure my parents would not have let me see it because they would have felt that it promoted the occult. Based upon the bits I've seen on television, I'm kinda glad they wouldn't have let me go.
