One of my favorite Hendrix albums. Just skip over the Noel Redding song which was not on par with the rest.

The most underrated of the three Experience albums, and only "Little Wing " and "Castles Made of Sand," which are both brilliant still get any amount of airplay on mainstream radio, which is a shame. The title track is not only one of my favorite Hendrix songs, but one of my favorite songs ever. Any lingering notion of Hendrix as merely some kind of all intuition and non- thinking musician should be dispelled by the lyrics and power behind tracks like the three I just mentioned and the rather angry and intense "If 6 Was 9." "You Got Me Floatin'" is a terrific if obscure pop song with Graham Nash and several members of The Move helping out on background vocals. "Ain't No Telling," a brief cut, proves that Hendrix should not be seen merely as a psychedelic pioneer, but also as maintaining and adding to the traditions and styles of black music- Hendrix was a transitional and eclectic figure who had one foot in blues, jazz, soul, etc. and yet wasn't afraid to push the envelope and incorporate experimental ideas from psychedelia and white rock acts such as The Who or Yardbirds. " Up From the Skies," is a rolling synthesis of jazz, pop, science fiction, and more. The album as a whole is magnificent and should be heard by Hendrix fans and fans of the music of the period.

One of the three excellent Hendrix albums to be released. It contains priceless material from the greatest guitarist ever.

One of the greatest albums of all time!! "Little Wing", "Bold as love" and ""Castles made of sand" are arguably Jimis greatest songs and they are all on this album! After releasing this album Jimi proved to the world that his first album was'nt just a fluke and he was infact the most tallented guitarist the world has ever seen!
