This is a great thing to do with the otherwise bored house pet....you can usually find a group near you to test and temperament test the dog and then find a suitable place for you and your dog to go. (usually weekly visits). Some are more suitable for being with the elderly while others do better with children.

It's quite amazing seeing these dogs bring joy and smiles to the elderly or to the cancer stricken children. They seem to enjoy their job bringing out the 'life' in so many people.
