Joe Tinker of the Tinker to Evers to Chance double play combo was better, Don Kessinger was a better fielder, and of course Banks before he went to 1st base, and there may be others who rank ahead of him.

 | GenghisTheHun (177) 04/06/2006 | I had a friend who was a Cub fan in the 1980's. Dunston was a project and his fielding was often problematic. He had a terrific arm, however. My friend was a nervous wreck watching Dunston shag the ball and hurl towards the first baseman.
