Not just unfunny. . .but gives me the creeps in a major way. . .like creepy-clown creeps- seriously.

Funny the first few times, but after the 93rd repetition of him dressing in drag, running in circles after nubile young women, and taking a shot to the berries, he got a little old.

I enjoyed him. His show was big on American TV when I was in my late teens/early 20's, and I was a pretty regular viewer. I've always found British humor strange-- it's either hysterically funny, or sort of dull and plodding. Certain bits Hill did may have appealed to a British sensibility but they left me cold. Then again, other things he did were crude slapstick (he seemed to be in bits where he'd get hit in the testicles a lot) and more than a little sexist, but they were funny. As Larry David said (and I paraphrase), comedy that isn't politically correct tends to be funnier than comedy that is. I wasn't enough of a Benny Hill fan to buy his collected work on DVD, but if they re-ran it on cable, I'd certainly watch it again. R.I.P., Benny.

Benny was one of the few british acts that was funny. I've allways laugh my ass off during the chase sketchs at the end of the show!

WAY better than Benny Hinn.

Benny Hill kicked arse and was ahead of his time. His skits are classics. ( the scantily clad babes were the icing on the cake)

Very funny and clever. At the end of his career, however, he got too bawdy--the women were no longer for laughs but for his sleaze. I guess the comedy act got away from him.

Really good

Though most comedians who are predictable aren't funny, this guy is amusing just because he is so relentlessly predictable. He plays the Dirty Old Man schtick to a T, his songs are very wry, and his takes on American pop culture are right on. Admittedly, he is of the old fashioned English music hall tradition, but this is intriguing because it's so much different than what is considered funny in our culture.

Benny Hill is wonderful! I started watching him when I was very young on late night television. My Dad is a big fan of his also. Benny would push things right up to the almost indecent mark, which is part of what makes him so funny.

THE BEST OUT OF ENGLAND EVER

I will shoot myself if I have to watch one more Benny Hill commercial. It's just not fair to us americans to have to watch this "funny man" here in our motherland. Although we appreciate his "wit" he is just not humorous to I, or anyone I know. So keep your "Best of" Benny Hill across the pond.

Benny Hill is great! I blame him for the way i turned out. I started watching him when i was in grade school.
