08/09/2004 | The only Inter-Con we have stayed in was in Makati City, the Philippines, when we traveled there in 2002 to adopt our son.
The hotel was magnificent, well appointed, and had courteous staff. The onsite restaraunt was something to see, with its huge buffet and overflowing trays of native foods.
The pool was large and clean, and sufficiently walled off from the city to afford a bit of privacy.
The staff was extraordinary in assisting us with our new son; we never wanted for drinking water, extra sheets or towels, or anything else we might have asked for.
The location itself is in one of the safer places in Manila, in the Business District of Makati, and right across the street from the Glorietta Mall.
We were also able to book a half day bus tour of Manila right from the lobby, and that was a fascinating and entertaining tour.
