A very complex flavored ale that doesn't overpower.

Clearly my favorite, it's the standard by which I judge all others. It's simply the best of over 500 brands that I've tasted over the years.

This is a heavy old style ale. Very complex. Flavors of chocolate (mild) and plum (not quite so mild). Very drinkable dark beer. I'm sure you can get this on tap in the U.S., but not anywhere within a hundred miles of me. So I've only had it in bottle. It's kind of expensive, (12.50 for a 6 pack) but well worth the investment.

Rich in flavor with a somewhat complex taste. This Import isn't available widely and is a bit pricey, but certainly worth a try if you like dark beer.

Man, this is good stuff. Better than the weak Theakston's best. Had one in High Barnet in a Wetherspoon's pub.

Ah... This is a classic heavy ale! Full, dark and roasty tasting. Nice round finish, nothing but high praise for this oldie but goodie. Too bad we can't get Owd Roger in the US, this is similar.
