Very poor design on this unit, though the binoculars will do in a pinch if it's a heck of a pinch. Photos look like their coming from the Moon--or for all anyone knows, your photo may BE the Moon. This was me ordering first, checking reviews later. That smoke you smell is me having been burned. Shame on you, Vivitar--your better than this thing. Won't get fooled again!

Terriable. Pictures come in blurry and in Black and white. Funny on the box their clear and pristine, laughable total scam. Don't waste your time buying this you will end up returning next day.

This item is not capable of taking anything but blurred images. What you see in the lens is not the picture you get. It is nearly impossible to get a good photo at any zoom level and they cannot be edited or sharpened because the resolution is so poor. Do not waste your time on this item. Spend the money and get a better camera because this one does not deliver. The software is confusing to install and not compatible with Mac's. I am going to put mine under my truck tire and smash it, it is worthless even as binoculars because, unless you have no nose, you cannot get your eyes close to the lenses to see through them anyway.

Cheap product. The "digital" screen is a joke. The only thing youll ever see on it are two letter combinations, which are codes that indicate either what your trying to do with the camera or how many pictures are left to take. It quickly gets frustrating trying to navigate and execute the codes. Capacity is only 20 pictures as well. You can video, but only for about a minute, and that replaces the full capacity of your 20 pictures. Really, this is a product that should not even be on the shelf. Vivitar must be hoping people just dont get around to returning the product, because i cant see anyone wanting to keep and use it.

Blurry, uncentered and miscolored photographs. It's impossible to hold the binoculars still enough to acquire any image worth keeping. I was in denial about how bad these could be when I received a pair of these as a gift. I tried very hard to make them work and get a good picture. Of the dozens I took, only one turned out as I viewed it in the binoculars. This makes me angry because my friend bought me these with the reasonable understanding they would work reasonably well. That's not too much to expect when a company such as Vivitar markets something as this. Seriously, the whole purpose of these binoculars IS to take pictures... if it doesn't work, don't mass produce them and sell them as such.
