This guy doesn't have a clue about Negotiating, nor does he give a fig.Like a spoiled brat,it's his way or no way at all. That's why he sneaks people in and has legislature passed in the midle of the night before holidays and other underhanded tactics. If any other president behaved as arrogantly he'd have been impeached by now.He threatens to Veto any time the majority want's something he doesn't.There is NOTHING even remotely resembling the "bi-partisan" government he promised the people in his campaign.

What negotiation skills? Bush's idea of diplomacy is shoot first and ask questions later! Or not ask them at all!
luridlloyd 07/07/2006
I could be wrong. W may be in secret negotiations with BinLaden. This way he can continue to grab authority by being a wartime pres. W will never let the "War on Terror" end. This way there is less negotiating with Congress.

Like many retards, I think he's a terrific negotiator. . .sometimes refusing to negotiate does wonders for future negotiations. . .

Some quotes come to mind: "Shoot first and ask questions later" or "Kill 'em all, let God sort 'em out".

Has all the negotiating skill of Sammy the Bull Gravano.

Uses his negotiation skills to explain where he was for the missing year in his National Guard duty.

Think of it as forceful negotiation. We shouldn't have to bow down to another country. If they don't want to follow us then they don't have to, but we shouldnt be led by the nose just because the U.N. wants to have control over us. America is meant to be a leader. Ether follow or shut the hell up. F*** diplomacy, we don't need it.
scarletfeather 10/21/2003
Oh. He has negotiation skills? Thank you for passing on that little tidbit.
hendo 08/21/2003
His "You're either with us or you're with the terrorists" is a good example of where he stands on negotiation.
BIGBABY 05/20/2003
Average at best. Were definetely not negotiating in Iraq, but we are trying to negotiate with the Palestinian terrorist organization (PLO) as well as North Korea.

If Bush's Idea of negotiating is by dropping a bomb on a country, then I cannot even begin to think that he has good negotiation skills. Less War, more peace!
brownin 02/26/2003
I don't think Bush knows how to even spell negotiation...let alone have those skills
reeny 02/26/2003
Bush doesn't negotiate, he demands. If you don't agree or give in, then look out!

His style is, essentially, "give me what I want or I will destroy you," or, when negotiating with allies, "do it my way or I'll do it without you." To the extent this works, it is a tribute to the enormous power backing him up, not to any skill on his part. After 9/11 the U.S. had the world's sympathy and there was an unusual level of international willingness to join with us and help us fight terrorism. Bush has squandered that surplus of fellow-feeling by coming on to the world community like a swaggering cowboy. The price of his swagger is becoming apparent, in the Security Council and in NATO.

Well, at least Bush is not quite as bad as Rumsfeld.
anmalone 02/10/2003
He is a brilliant negotiator who well realizes that you can’t and shouldn’t deal with murderous thugs (Arafat, Hussein, Kim et al. His handling of the greatest enemies of this country (the Democrats) has been on part with a Gladstone, Disraeli, Metternich or Castlereagh.
