 | FranksWildYears (48) 04/02/2008 | He's only charming if there are charming words for him on the teleprompter. And even then the words have to be fairly short.

 | Vudija (92) 04/28/2006 | Deciding on his charm (or lack of, depending) is better made when you actually have met him and spoken to him on a personal level. I cannot say whether or not I would find him charming as a person, because I have never met with him (which is why I gave him the middle rating).

 | earthbound (37) 04/11/2005 | I do think he has charm. I get the impression that he is very personable on a one-to-one basis. Also, he is clearly fond of dogs.

 | CanadaSucks (45) 04/11/2005 | If you think that a lying, ex-drug addict who wrecked every business that he's touched is charming - sure. If you think it's charming that a person would lie about phantom weapons and threats about a nation that had nothing to do with 9-11, sure- he's a blast. If you find it 'charming' that he treats your civil rights the way Ike treated Tina- sure. If you find it charming that he has increasing spending and government influence while ignoring our open borders and immigration problem, he's a real cutie-pie. Living proof that some Americans, who claim to be independent thinkers, clearly need to be led by the hand.

 | Djahuti (54) 02/23/2005 | When Bush is nasty to people (and he often is ,according to those who work around him) the footage never makes the news. His Public-relations people manipulate information, and he STILL comes off as a moron with all the social grace of a slug.

 | EschewObfuscation (61) 09/01/2004 | Yeah, he really needs to work on his charm. What we need in this country is a charming president because when you're at war, everyone assesses your charming-ness. I'd really hate to lose the war on charm . . . Clinton certainly didn't lose that war, although it would have been helpful, in retrospect, if he had done something, anything in response to half a dozen terrorist attacks on his watch. But he certainly was charming. So is Gore, Kerry, Edwards, (need I go on?) . . .

 | bibliophile (10) 07/29/2004 | I've seen little charm emanate from this president. In fact, I've seen so little of this President under unchoreographed circumstances, that there has been no opportunity for any charm to show. Maybe some personal charm or affability exists, waiting to burst out from all those artifical constraints put on Bush by his handlers.

 | MysteryMan? (0) 05/28/2004 | Charm actually requires that you acknowledge the presence of others. Jr always seems to be in his own little world. If 'they' called Al Gore 'wooden', then whaddya call jr?

 | Zioness Esq. (0) 05/27/2004 | He is definately a Deer in the headlight...painful and funny to watch speak at times. Has his good points. He could not make a living selling used cars like most...But when I want to see a really good performance I will put in a DVD. Not all good managers are good speakers - but the most popular ones usually are. He cannot speak worth a darn. Really too bad as well. He has done some good things but (sadly) lacks the skills to tell us about them.

 | kolby1973 (32) 02/10/2004 | There are some good attributes to George W. Bush...but CHARM is not one of them. I think he is really rough and brash...not charming in anyway...but maybe I would change my mind if I met him in person...I am going totally by television appearances and what not...

 | abichara (60) 02/10/2004 | Bush is a nice guy. I don't agree with some of his policies, but I'll have a beer with him, he can drink the non-alcoholic stuff. I won't however. GWB does a good job of coming across as a guy from Midland, Texas and that's why Middle America has so much appreciation for him. Bush has made a concerted effort to move away from his families roots in patrician Connecticut. Bush's father lost in 1992 in large part because he was perceived as an out of touch elitist. He didn't want to make that mistake again. He's not charming in a witty way, rather it's in the way that he comes across as a normal guy that endears him to the people.

 | Redoedo (39) 12/30/2003 | Bush has a unique charm about him that seems to put him over with many Americans. Although he is anything but, he just comes across as a normal, every-day guy from Texas. During the 2000 Presidential debates, for example, Bush came across as cool, calm and collected, with a decent sense of humor (a sharp contrast to his opponent). Although it doesn't work on me, this man just seems to have a large degree of charm that endears him to many Americans. Of course, the Dear in the Headlights look probably has something to do with it. He's not as charming as some of his predacessors (JFK, FDR, Reagan or Clinton), but he's certainly got some charm.

 | Natasha21 (0) 02/14/2003 | George Bush Jr. has NO charm whatsoever. All one has to do to see it is watch the mess he's making with regards to the war on Iraq. He needs to get his head out of his ass and be open to other's opinions and thoughts on the subject of war. He seems like a good person, but one who doesn't know how to handle all of the power he has. It is a case of a little boy trying to fill his father's shoes.
