05/14/2004 | He can do it all as an actor. Quiet, sad, furious, funny. He's a young guy working on his craft and he takes it extremely seriously. He's also multi-talented with a singing voice like an angel. GH was insane to underuse him and then let him get away.

08/23/2003 | GH really lucked out when they recast Chad Brannon to play Zander Smith. Only the most talented of actors could turn a 6 week guest spot into a 3 year contract. He's another Tony Geary but sadly the writesr and producers don't seem to realize the potential he has as don't give him the storylines he deserves.
I paid little attention to bratty Emily before Chad Brannon but he brought out the best in Amber Tamblyn and took her from mediocre to good. I began paying attentino to her only after she was paired with Brannon. He brings out the best in everyone he acts with.

He conveys great vulnerability and tenderness underneath a tough hot-headed exterior. I just want to hug him. I just wish TPTB gave the guy a storyline worthy of his talents.

03/16/2003 | Chad is one of the most talented daytime actors on television today and I cannot begin to tell you how proud I am that he's been nominated for an Emmy for younger leading actor...
Chad's made the character of Zander his own, from a punk on the run, to a misunderstood young man who wants and needs so much to be accepted and loved...
Chad gives Zander a sense of realness, as Zander grapples with disappointments and heartaches, he plays Zander as fiercely loyal and sometimes wildly hotheaded and it's all done believably by this talented young man.
Chad has chemistry with all of his costars, but I'll admit I miss the relationship between Sonny,Zander,and Alexis because Maurice, Chad and Nancy were all dynamic together.
Zander looked to Sonny as a Father figure and Sonny took the kid under his wing.. Throwing Alexis in the mix as Zander's attorney and proverbial Mother was ingenious and those scenes are classic daytime TV!
If I know my actors ... this young man is going places!
